Barwa announces awarding of Phase-III Madinat Al Mawater project contract

DOHA: Barwa Real Estate Group, the leading real estate investment company in Qatar, announced the award of the construction of the third phase of Madinat Al Mawater project to the Contractor “Hassanesco Trading and Contracting (HCC)” for a value of QR335m, with the implementation of this phase to be completed within a period of 18 months.

The project embraces a total construction built-up area of around 167,072 square meters, which includes used-car lots, apartments, shops and workshops. In addition to an integrated car services center, a commercial car spare parts complex, a hypermarket, a mosque and a car dealer showroom. Moreover, the project will cover the construction of the infrastructure work which includes the construction of an electricity substation, internal roads, networks for potable water, firefighting systems, irrigation, storm water and foul waters and surveillance cameras with all related services such as pump rooms, water and irrigation tanks, as well as sewage treatment plant.

Issa bin Muhammad Al Muhannadi, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Barwa Real Estate Group, noted that the third phase of Madinat Al Mawater project is considered one of the largest phases of the project to date and is built with high quality in the construction and with an integrated infrastructure. He also praised the unlimited governmental support for the private sector and relying on it in the urban development in Qatar under the patronage of the Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and the follow-up of the Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani.

The construction of this phase comes after the construction and operation of the first and second phases of Madinat Al Mawater project, which is located on Rawdat Rashid road near the intersection with Salwa Road. It will serve as the main destination and the first and largest project in the State of Qatar for all services related to the sale, purchase and maintenance of used cars and vehicles. This project is one of the benefits of the partnership between the government and the private sector represented by Barwa Real Estate Company in order to create a central market for providing all the necessary services for the car business.

The first and second phases were implemented according to the highest standards despite the unjust blockage imposed on Qatar. It should be noted that there is no conflict of interest between the contracting parties to this agreement.

أعلنت شركة بروة العقارية، أمس، عن ترسية أعمال إنشاء المرحلة الثالثة لمشروع مدينة المواتر على شركة حسنيسكو للتجارة والمقاولات، وتبلغ قيمة العقد 335 مليون ريال، على أن يتم الانتهاء من تنفيذ المرحلة في مدة 18 شهراً. ويبلغ إجمالي مساحة البناء بهذه المرحلة 167.072 متر مربع، وتتضمن معارض للسيارات المستعملة، وشققاً سكنية، ومحلات تجارية، وورشاً، ومركزاً متكاملاً لخدمات السيارات، ومجمعاً تجارياً لقطع غيار المركبات، ومعرضاً لوكالة السيارات، وهايبر ماركت، ومسجداً. بالإضافة إلى تشييد البنية التحتية اللازمة والتي تتضمن بناء محطات كهرباء فرعية، وطرقاً داخلية، وشبكات لمياه الشرب والحريق والري ومياه الأمطار والصرف الصحي، وكاميرات مراقبة، مع كل الخدمات المطلوبة من غرف للمضخات، وخزانات المياه والري، ومحطة لمعالجة مياه الصرف الصحي.

مرحلة مهمة

وقد أشار السيد عيسى بن محمد المهندي، نائب رئيس مجلس الإدارة العضو المنتدب لمجموعة بروة العقارية، إلى أن المرحلة الثالثة من مشروع مدينة المواتر تعتبر من أكبر مراحل المشروع حتى الآن، ويتم بناؤها بجودة عالية في التشييد والبنية التحتية المتكاملة للمرحلة الثالثة، كما أشاد المهندي بالدعم الحكومي اللامحدود في دعم القطاع الخاص، والاعتماد عليه في النهضة العمرانية بدولة قطر، برعاية حضرة صاحب السمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني أمير البلاد المفدى، ومتابعة معالي الشيخ عبدالله بن ناصر بن خليفة آل ثاني رئيس مجلس الوزراء وزير الداخلية.

موقع

ويأتي إنشاء هذه المرحلة، بعد الانتهاء من بناء وتشغيل المرحلة الأولى والثانية لمشروع مدينة المواتر، والذي يقع على طريق روضة راشد، قرب التقاطع مع طريق سلوى، وسيكون بمثابة الوجهة الأساسية والمشروع الأول والأكبر من نوعه في دولة قطر لجميع الخدمات المتعلقة ببيع وشراء وصيانة السيارات والمركبات المستعملة، ويعد هذا المشروع إحدى ثمار الشراكة بين الحكومة والقطاع الخاص، ممثلاً في شركة بروة العقارية؛ بهدف خلق سوق مركزي يختص بتوفير جميع الخدمات اللازمة لنشاط السيارات. وتم تنفيذ المرحلتين الأولى والثانية وفق أعلى المقاييس، رغم الحصار الجائر على الدولة.

تجدر الإشارة إلى عدم وجود تضارب للمصالح بين شركة بروة العقارية والأطراف الأخرى في هذه المعاملة.
