Qatar’s embassies, consulates abroad organise various sporting events

The diplomatic, consular and representative missions of the State of Qatar abroad organized various sporting events on the occasion of Qatar Sport Day, amid great participation and interest.

In Vienna, the Embassy of the State of Qatar in the Republic of Austria organised sport events on the occasion of the Sport Day to highlight importance of sport and its positive impact on the life of the citizen. Acting Charge d’Affaires of the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Austria, Abdullah bin Nasser Al Fahid, diplomats and staff of the embassy and a number of staff of the United Nations Center in Vienna participated in the events. The program included several sport activities, including football, basketball, volleyball and other sport competitions.

In Accra, the Embassy of the State of Qatar in the Republic of Ghana organised a sport event, which included football matches. The event was attended by Qatar’s Ambassador to the Republic of Ghana, Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Humaid, embassy staff and their families, a number of staff of the Qatar Charity and students of the Language Institute. At the end of the ceremony, Al Humaid presented the trophy to the winning team.

In Beijing, the Embassy of the State of Qatar in the People’s Republic of China organised sporting events on the occasion of the Sport Day.

The event was attended by Qatar’s Ambassador to China, Sultan bin Salmeen Al Mansouri, diplomats and embassy staff, a number of Qatari students studying at the Chinese universities in Beijing and members of the Qatargas office in Beijing. The program included several sports activities including football, table tennis and walking.

In a speech, the Ambassador stressed the importance of the Sport Day, which reflects the awareness of the State and its leaders about the importance of consolidating the values of sport in society to build a healthy and vibrant society.

He said that the celebration of the Sport Day qualifies the country to be in the near future a global sport hub during the World Cup 2022, especially as the State of Qatar has spared no effort to support sports at all levels in the belief that sport educates young people and generations and build a healthy and vibrant society.

In Canberra, the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Australia organised events on the occasion of the Sport Day, in which the diplomatic and administrative staff of the embassy as well as a number of citizens and Arab communities participated. Activities included football, swimming and other sports.

In Manila, the Qatar Embassy in the Republic of the Philippines organised activities for the National Sport Day, in which the diplomatic and administrative staff participated. The activities included activities including women’s football, volleyball and various sports.

In Bandar Seri Begawan, Qatar Embassy in Brunei Darussalam organised activities for the National Sport Day. Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Brunei, Darussalam Jassim bin Ali Al Obaidly participated in the activities along with diplomats and embassy staff. The event included various sports including horseback riding, hiking and football.

In Ashgabat, Qatar Embassy in Turkmenistan organised activities for the National Sport Day. Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Turkmenistan, Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Suwaidi participated in the activities along with a number of athletes. The events included a football match and cycling.

In Hongkong, the Consulate General of Qatar in Hongkong in the People’s Republic of China organised activities for the National Sport Day. The consulate’s diplomatic staff participated in the events. The activities included several sports activities, including walking.

In Kuala Lumpur, the Qatar Embassy in Malaysia organised activities for the National Sport Day. Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Malaysia Fahad bin Mohammed Kafood, deputy director of Protocol Department at Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Wan Zaidi Wan Abdullah, a number of Malaysian Foreign Ministry staff, ambassadors and representatives of Arab and foreign missions accredited to Kuala Lumpur. The events included a number of recreational games, football and badminton.

In Hanoi, the Qatar Embassy in Vietnam organised activities for the National Sport Day. The embassy staff and a number of Vietnamese citizens participated in the event. The events included a number of sports activities.

In Dushanbe, the Embassy of the State of Qatar in the Republic of Tajikistan organised sporting events on the occasion of the Sport Day.

The events were attended by Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Tajikistan Ibrahim bin Mohammed Al Abdullah, members of the embassy and a number of professors and students of Tajik universities. In a speech, Ambassador Al Abdullah stated that Qatar’s goal behind this day is to promote sport and make it a way of life. The events included various sport competitions.

In Astana, the Embassy of the State of Qatar in the Republic of Kazakhstan organised sporting events on the occasion of the Sports Day. The Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Kazakhstan Ahmed bin Ali Al Tamimi and members of the embassy participated in the events. Activities included walking, jogging, and other games and exercises.

In Naypyidaw, the Embassy of the State of Qatar in the Republic of the Union of Myanmar organised sport activities on the occasion of the Sports Day. Acting Charge d’Affaires of the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Myanmar Mansour bin Mubarak Al Khayarin, a number of Myanmar officials and a number of heads of diplomatic missions, as well as embassy staff and their families participated in the events. The events included tennis and badminton, free jogging and other sports.

In N’Djamena, the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Chad organised sports events on the occasion of the State Sports Day.

The events were attended by Acting Charge d’Affaires of the Embassy of the State of Qatar to Chad Hamad bin Masoud Al Otaibi, embassy staff and some friends of the Embassy. Activities included running, football and collective aerobics.

In Athens, the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Greece organised sport events on the occasion of the Sport Day. The events were attended by Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Greece Abdulaziz Ali Al Naama, a number of officials of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs, athletes and sport and cultural officials in Greece. The events included a football match between a veteran Greek football team and a number of diplomats in Greece. The Embassy of the State of Qatar distributed souvenirs to the participants and thanked the Greek football team for their participation in the events.

In Islamabad, the Embassy of the State of Qatar in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan organised sporting events on the occasion of the Sport Day.

The events were attended by Qatar’s ambassador to Pakistan Saqr bin Mubarak Al Mansouri and members of the embassy and local figures. The events included walking, a football match, and a number of games and group contests.

In Bangkok, the Embassy of the State of Qatar in the Kingdom of Thailand held sporting events on the occasion of the Sport Day.

The events were attended by Qatar’s Ambassador to Thailand Sheikh Jassim bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, members of the embassy, the Medical Office, and Qatargas liaison office, in addition to the Qatar Airways regional office in Bangkok and some members of the Arab embassies accredited to the Kingdom of Thailand.

The Ambassador delivered a speech in which he highlighted the importance of the Sport Day which comes within the framework of consolidating the values of sports culture in society and turning it into a routine for all its members.

He added that this edition of Sport Day coincides with the atmosphere of joy in Qatar after the first football team won the Asian Cup 2019. The events included warm-up training, athletics competition, football and tennis competitions.

In Seoul, the Embassy of the State of Qatar in the Republic of Korea organised sport events on the occasion of National Sport Day. Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Korea, Mohammed Abdullah Al Duhaimi, and embassy staff participated in the event. Activities included walking, football, basketball and volleyball.

نظّمت البعثات الدبلوماسية والقنصلية والتمثيلية لدولة قطر في الخارج، فعاليات رياضية متنوعة بمناسبة اليوم الرياضي للدولة، وسط مشاركة واهتمام كبيرين. ففي فيينا، نظّمت سفارة دولة قطر لدى جمهورية النمسا فعاليات رياضية بمناسبة اليوم الرياضي للدولة؛ إيماناً بأهمية الرياضة وتأثيرها الإيجابي على حياة المواطن.

وشارك في الفعاليات السيد عبدالله بن ناصر آل فهيد القائم بالأعمال بالإنابة في سفارة دولة قطر لدى النمسا، ودبلوماسيو وموظفو السفارة، وعدد من موظفي مركز الأمم المتحدة في فيينا.

وتضمّن البرنامج عدة أنشطة رياضية، شملت: كرة القدم، وكرة السلة، والكرة الطائرة، ومسابقات رياضية متنوعة.

وفي أكرا، نظّمت سفارة دولة قطر لدى جمهورية غانا، فعالية رياضية تضمنت مباريات في كرة القدم.

وشارك في الفعاليات سعادة السيد محمد بن أحمد الحميد سفير دولة قطر لدى جمهورية غانا، وموظفو السفارة وأسرهم، وعدد من موظفي جمعية قطر الخيرية، وطلاب معهد اللغات.

وفي بكين، نظّمت سفارة دولة قطر لدى جمهورية الصين الشعبية، فعاليات رياضية بمناسبة اليوم الرياضي للدولة.

وشارك في الفعاليات سعادة السيد سلطان بن سالمين المنصوري سفير دولة قطر لدى الصين، ودبلوماسيو وموظفو السفارة، وعدد من الطلاب القطريين المبتعثين في الجامعات الصينية بالعاصمة بكين، وأعضاء مكتب «قطر غاز» في بكين. وتضمّن البرنامج عدة أنشطة رياضية، شملت: كرة القدم، وتنس الطاولة، ورياضة المشي.

وأكد سعادة السفير في كلمة، على أهمية اليوم الرياضي الذي يعكس وعي الدولة وقياداتها بأهمية ترسيخ قيم الرياضة في المجتمع لبناء مجتمع متماسك يتمتع بالصحة والحيوية. وقال إن الاحتفال باليوم الرياضي يؤهل الدولة لكي تكون في المستقبل القريب واجهة رياضية عالمية خلال مونديال كأس العالم 2022، خاصة وأن دولة قطر لم تدّخر جهداً لدعم الرياضة على مستوياتها كافة؛ إيماناً منها بأن الرياضة تربي النشء والأجيال وتجعل المجتمع في صحة وحيوية دائمة.

وفي كانبرا، نظّمت سفارة دولة قطر لدى أستراليا، فعاليات بمناسبة اليوم الرياضي للدولة، شارك فيها طاقم السفارة الدبلوماسي والإداري، وعدد من المواطنين، والجاليات العربية.

وفي مانيلا، نظّمت سفارة دولة قطر لدى جمهورية الفلبين، فعاليات بمناسبة اليوم الرياضي للدولة، شارك فيها طاقم السفارة الدبلوماسي والإداري.

وفي بندر سيري بيجاون، نظّمت سفارة دولة قطر لدى سلطنة بروناي دارالسلام، فعالية بمناسبة اليوم الرياضي للدولة.

شارك في الفعالية سعادة السيد جاسم بن علي العبيدلي سفير دولة قطر لدى سلطنة بروناي دارالسلام، ودبلوماسيو وموظفو السفارة.

وفي عشق آباد، نظّمت سفارة دولة قطر لدى تركمانستان، فعاليات بمناسبة اليوم الرياضي للدولة.

شارك في الفعاليات سعادة السيد خليفة بن أحمد السويدي سفير دولة قطر لدى تركمانستان، وعدد من الرياضيين.

وفي هونج كونج، نظّمت القنصلية العامة لدولة قطر لدى هونج كونج بجمهورية الصين الشعبية، فعاليات بمناسبة اليوم الرياضي للدولة. شارك في الفعاليات طاقم القنصلية الدبلوماسي والموظفون.

وفي كوالالمبور، نظّمت سفارة دولة قطر لدى ماليزيا، فعاليات بمناسبة اليوم الرياضي للدولة. شارك في الفعاليات سعادة السيد فهد بن محمد كافود سفير دولة قطر لدى ماليزيا، وسعادة السيد وان زيدي وان عبدالله نائب مدير إدارة المراسم بوزارة الخارجية الماليزية، وعدد من موظفي وزارة الخارجية الماليزية، وسفراء وممثلو البعثات العربية والأجنبية المعتمدة لدى كوالالمبور. وتضمنت الفعاليات عدداً من الألعاب الترفيهية، وكرة القدم، ولعبة الريشة.

وفي هانوي، نظّمت سفارة دولة قطر لدى فيتنام، فعاليات بمناسبة اليوم الرياضي للدولة.

شارك في الفعاليات طاقم السفارة الدبلوماسي، وعدد من المواطنين الفيتناميين. وتضمنت الفعاليات عدداً من الأنشطة الرياضية.

وفي دوشنبه، نظّمت سفارة دولة قطر بجمهورية طاجيكستان فعاليات رياضية بمناسبة اليوم الرياضي للدولة.

وشارك في الفعاليات سعادة السيد إبراهيم بن محمد العبدالله سفير دولة قطر لدى طاجيكستان، وأعضاء السفارة، وعدد من أساتذة وطلبة الجامعات الطاجيكية. وألقى سعادة السفير العبدالله كلمة، نوّه فيها بأن هدف دولة قطر من هذا اليوم هو الاهتمام بالرياضة وجعلها أسلوب حياة. وتضمنت الفعاليات مسابقات رياضية مختلفة.

وفي أستانا، نظّمت سفارة دولة قطر بجمهورية كازاخستان، فعاليات رياضية بمناسبة اليوم الرياضي للدولة، وشارك في الفعاليات سعادة السيد أحمد بن علي التميمي سفير دولة قطر لدى كازاخستان، وأعضاء السفارة. وتضمنت الفعاليات ممارسة رياضة المشي والهرولة، وبعض الألعاب والتمارين السويدية.

وفي نايبيداو، نظّمت سفارة دولة قطر لدى جمهورية اتحاد ميانمار، فعاليات رياضية بمناسبة اليوم الرياضي للدولة.

شارك في الفعاليات السيد منصور بن مبارك الخيارين القائم بالأعمال بالإنابة في سفارة دولة قطر لدى جمهورية اتحاد ميانمار، وعدد من المسؤولين بميانمار، وعدد من رؤساء البعثات الدبلوماسية، إلى جانب موظفي السفارة وعائلاتهم.;
