Qatar strongly condemns repressive policies of Israeli occupation forces in Jerusalem and Al Aqsa Mosque

Doha: The State of Qatar has expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the repressive policies that the Israeli occupation forces continue to exercise in occupied Jerusalem and Al Aqsa Mosque, the latest of which was the blatant assault on the sanctity of worshippers and the closing of the door of mercy.

In a statement issued yesterday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that this step is part of a process initiated by the occupation forces for years, and aims to change the identity of the city of Jerusalem and the division of the holy shrine and the expropriation of the historic rights of the Palestinian people including Muslims and Christians, by forcefully imposing the status quo and terrorising weapons under the eyes of the international community.

The Israeli occupation forces and those who support them must realise that these violations are an affront to Islamic sanctities and the feelings of more than 1.5 billion Muslims around the world.

This is a feeling of superiority over norms and values that the civilized world has settled for decades, the statement said.

It said that the Israeli occupation state would not have persisted in its aggression and violations of human rights in worship, freedom of movement and a safe and dignified life, and to dispose of it from the responsibilities as occupying forces according to international norms and laws “without the silence of many international and regional actors.”

The statement called on all the Palestinian people to unite and to surpass their differences in order to assume their historical responsibility, and urged the international community to act to stop these ongoing violations by the Israeli occupation forces.

أعلنت دولة قطر إدانتها واستهجانها الشديدين للسياسات القمعية والعنجهية التي ما زالت قوات الاحتلال الصهيوني تمارسها في القدس المحتلة والحرم القدسي الشريف وكان آخرها الاعتداء السافر على حرمة المصلين وإغلاق باب الرحمة بالسلاسل في وجه المصلين.

تؤكد وزارة الخارجية بدولة قطر أن هذه الخطوة تأتي ضمن مسارٍ بدأته قوات الاحتلال منذ سنوات وتستهدف منه تغيير هوية مدينة القدس وتقسيم الحرم القدسي الشريف ونزع الحقوق التاريخية للشعب الفلسطيني بمسلميه ومسيحييه من خلال فرض الأمر الواقع بقوة وإرهاب السلاح تحت عين وبصر المجتمع الدولي. على قوات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي ومن يعضدها أن يدركوا أن هذه الانتهاكات تعدّ إهانةً وتعدياً على المقدسات الإسلامية وعلى مشاعر ما يزيد عن المليار ونصف المليار مسلم حول العالم وهو ينمّ عن شعور بالاستعلاء على ما يحكم أعضاء المجتمع الدولي من أعراف وقيم استقرّ عليها العالم المتحضر منذ عدة عقود.

أخيرا فإن وزارة الخارجية بدولة قطر تذكّر بأنه ما كان لدولة الاحتلال الصهيوني أن تتمادى في عدوانها وانتهاكاتها لحقوق الإنسان في العبادة وحرية الحركة والحياة الآمنة الكريمة وتحللها من المسؤوليات التي تقع عليها كقوة احتلال بحسب الأعراف والقوانين الدولية، لولا الصمت المطبق الذي تنتهجه كثير من القوى الفاعلة دوليا وإقليميا.

لذا فإن دولة قطر تهيب بجميع أبناء الشعب الفلسطيني بأن يوحدوا صفوفهم وأن يتعالوا على خلافاتهم ليضطلعوا بالمسؤولية التاريخية الملقاة على عاتقهم، كما تدعو المجتمع الدولي إلى التحرك لوقف هذه الانتهاكات المستمرة من قبل قوات الاحتلال الصهيوني.
