Qatar non-oil exports at QR1.6bn in January 2019

Doha: Qatar’s non-oil exports reached QR1.6bn in January 2019, recording a decrease of 23 percent compared to QR2.1bn for the corresponding month last year (January 2018), according to a report released by Qatar Chamber (QC), the country’s largest and oldest private industry representative entity.
According to the report, Oman topped the list of non-oil exporting countries in January 2019 with the total exports at QR625.733m, representing 38.69 percent of the total value of non-oil exports during the month, followed by Turkey with total exports of QR130.455m, or 8.06 percent.
Singapore stood at third place with QR126.564m, or 7.83 percent, followed by Germany QR104.654m (6.47 percent). India ranked fifth with exports amounting to QR92.719m (5.74 percent of the total value of non-oil exports in January.
The monthly report of the Chamber on foreign trade for the private sector, prepared by the Department of Research, Studies and Management of Member Affairs said that 2,883 certificates of origin were issued during last January, including 2,709 issued documented while 174 issued online. They include 2,629 general model certificates, 106 unified certificates for the GCC countries (industrial), 125 unified Arab certificates of origin and 23 certificates of origin for preferences.
The report pointed to the trend of non-oil exports to 55 countries during January 2019, with 11 Arab countries, including the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and 15 European countries (including Turkey) and 15 Asian countries except for the Arab countries and 12 African countries except for the Arab countries and two North American countries. According to the QC report, France, Bangladesh, Sweden, Indonesia and China were also some of the important destinations of Qatari exports of non-hydrocarbon products, and the first ten countries accounted for 87.49 percent of total non-oil exports in the month, said the report.
On the other hand, the Group of GCC countries (Oman and Kuwait) topped the blocs and the economic groups receiving the Qatari non-oil exports during January 2019 with total exports amounting to about QR636.733m, then the group of Asian countries excluding Arab countries with exports worth about QR473.254m.

وبلغ عدد شهادات المنشأ التي أصدرتها الغرفة خلال شهر يناير 2019، نحو 2883 شهادة، منها 2709 شهادة تم إصدارها مكتبياً، و174 شهادة تم إصدارها on line.
وأشار التقرير إلى أنه تم إصدار 2629 شهادة منشأ النموذج العام، و106 شهادات موحدة لدول مجلس التعاون صناعية، و125 شهادة منشأ عربية موحدة، و23 شهادة منشأ للأفضليات.
هذا؛ وقد توجهت الصادرات المذكورة إلى 55 دولة خلال شهر يناير 2019.
وتصدرت سلطنة عمان قائمة الدول المستقبلة للصادرات القطرية غير النفطية خلال شهر يناير 2019 بإجمالي صادرات بلغت قيمتها 625.867 مليون ريال، وهو ما يمثل نسبة 38.69 % من إجمالي قيمة الصادرات القطرية غير النفطية خلال الشهر المذكور، تلتها تركيا بإجمالي صادرات بلغت قيمتها 130.455 مليونا.;
