HBKU’s TII Opens Registration for Summer 2024 Language Courses

Language Center offers month-long courses in 12 languages.
Doha, April 20, 2024 – The Translation and Interpreting Institute’s (TII) Language Center at Hamad Bin Khalifa University’s (HBKU) College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS), is inviting aspiring language learners to register for its Summer 2024 language courses.
Interested students can enroll in their choice of 12 language courses which cover Arabic, Chinese (Mandarin), English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Turkish. The month-long courses employ tested methodologies and up-to-date technologies to immerse students in an interactive learning environment.
Participants can choose between a classroom or virtual format for their course, where they can develop their speaking, listening, reading, and writing abilities in their chosen language according to their level of proficiency and needs.
Participants must complete the registration process by May 8, 2024.
Commenting on the start of the Center’s new semester, Dr. Ameena Hussain, Director, Language Center at HBKU’s CHSS, said: “The Language Center welcomes learners looking to make the most of their early summers in Doha by engaging with a new language or sharpening their skills in others. Residents of all ages are encouraged to explore and connect with new cultures.”

معهد دراسات الترجمة بجامعة حمد بن خليفة يفتح باب التسجيل في دورات اللغات لصيف 2024
الدوحة، 20 أبريل 2024: يدعو مركز اللغات بمعهد دراسات الترجمة التابع لكلية العلوم الإنسانية والاجتماعية في جامعة حمد بن خليفة الراغبين في تعلم اللغات إلى التسجيل في دورات اللغات لصيف 2024.
ويُمكن للطلاب المهتمين التسجيل في دورات لغات تغطي ١٢ لغة، وهي اللغات العربية والصينية (الماندرين) والإنجليزية والفرنسية والألمانية والإيطالية واليابانية والكورية والبرتغالية والروسية والإسبانية والتركية، وتستخدم هذه الدورات التي تستمر لمدة شهر أساليب وتقنيات حديثة لإشراك الطلاب في بيئة تعليمية تفاعلية.
ويمكن للمشتركين الاختيار بين الحضور الشخصي في الفصول الدراسية أو عبر الانترنت، حيث يُمكنهم تطوير قدراتهم في التحدث والاستماع والقراءة والكتابة باللغة التي يختارونها وفقًا لمستوى إجادتهم واحتياجاتهم.
وينبغي على المشتركين إكمال متطلبات التسجيل قبل يوم 8 مايو 2024.
وتعليقًا على بدء الفصل الدراسي الجديد، قالت الدكتورة أمينة حسين، مديرة مركز اللغات: “يرحب مركز اللغات بالدارسين الذين يتطلعون إلى تحقيق أقصى استفادة ممكنة في بداية فصل الصيف بالدوحة، وذلك من خلال الانخراط في تعلُم لغة جديدة أو صقل مهاراتهم في لغات أخرى، حيث يتم تشجيع المقيمين من جميع الأعمار على استكشاف ثقافات جديدة والتواصل مع الناطقين بها.”
