QIIB holds evacuation drill at Grand Hamad Street main branch

Within the framework of its emergency response plan and as a reinforcement of its safety and security standards, QIIB has conducted an emergency evacuation drill at its main branch on Grand Hamad Street, enacting a virtual fire scenario in the presence of the Civil Defence and Emergency Medical Service personnel.

The drill simulated all procedures that should be followed during fires, including the activation of fire alarms for the evacuation of employees working in the building as per QIIB-approved safety and security protocols.

QIIB’s emergency response team implemented the security and safety procedures, including the instructions that they were trained to perform.

They supervised the evacuation operations inside the building by guiding employees to the emergency exit, making sure they used the allocated routes, stopping elevators, and directing employees to predetermined assembly points for emergencies, as well as ensuring the evacuation of all personnel from their offices and departments after sounding the fire alarms.

Ibrahim al-Tamimi, QIIB head (Administrative Services), said: “It was a useful drill and an essential security and safety procedure that we are keen to carry out periodically to ensure our readiness for emergencies in case of occurrence.

“This drill proves that our staff members are very well aware of the dangers, as they showed a quick and organised response. It also reflects the active and effective cooperation among the bank’s staff at all levels, whether among the security and safety team or employees themselves and the various departments and sections concerned.

“Such emergency drills are an important part of our risk management process. We are happy to say that all drills conducted in terms of risk management prove our advancement and keenness to achieve more in this field.

“In addition to the training and information we provide and the various drills that we conduct in all QIIB buildings, we are keen to provide all security and safety equipment to prepare for and prevent any dangers or sudden events. The bank’s buildings are equipped with fire alarms, emergency exits, fire extinguishers, and signage in all the corridors to indicate the closest exits of the building, in line with the best international standards.”

Al-Tamimi also thanked the members of the Civil Defence and Emergency Medical Service personnel who participated in the drill. He also thanked QIIB security and safety team and all employees who were present at the bank and carried out the evacuation procedures. This, al-Tamimi said, confirms the bank’s readiness to deal with potential emergencies.

في إطار التدريب على الاستجابة للحالات والحوادث الطارئة، وتعزيزاً لمعايير الأمن والسلامة؛ نفذ البنك الدولي الإسلامي تجربة إخلاء وهمية لمقر البنك الرئيسي بشارع حمد الكبير، وذلك عبر محاكاة سيناريو افتراضي لوقوع حريق، بحضور منظومتي الدفاع المدني والإسعاف.

تضمنت التجربة جميع الإجراءات التي يجب أن تطبق في حالات وقوع الحريق، ابتداءً من إطلاق جرس الإنذار، ثم إخلاء جميع الموظفين العاملين في مكاتب المبنى وفق إجراءات السلامة والأمن، المقررة في البنك، والمعتمدة بشكل مسبق، والتي تدرب عليها الطاقم المشرف على الحالات الطارئة، وتم إبلاغ جميع الموظفين بها كإجراء دائم من إجراءات السلامة والوقاية في البنك.

وأشرف فريق من موظفي البنك المسؤولين عن الأمن والسلامة على تنفيذ عملية الإخلاء، وقاموا بتطبيق التعليمات التي تدربوا على القيام بها، والمحددة بدقة لكل منهم، خصوصاً مهمات الإخلاء داخل المبنى عبر إرشاد الموظفين إلى مخارج الطوارئ، والتأكد من اتخاذهم الطرق المحددة مسبقاً لحالات الطوارئ، مع قيامهم بالتأكد من إيقاف عمل المصاعد، وتوجيه الموظفين نحو مراكز التجمع في حالات الطوارئ، والتأكد من مغادرة جميع الموظفين مكاتبهم بعد قرع جرس الإنذار.

لضرورات ضمان إجراءات الأمن والسلامة

التميمي: التجربة تظهر وعي كادر البنك بالمخاطر الطارئة

أوضح السيد إبراهيم التميمي، رئيس الخدمات الإدارية بالبنك، تعليقاً على تجربة الإخلاء الوهمي: «لقد كانت تجربة مفيدة، وهي إجراء ضروري من إجراءات الأمن والسلامة التي نحرص على القيام بها بشكل دوري، للتأكد من جاهزيتنا لخطط الطوارئ في حال وقوعها لا قدّر الله».

وأضاف «لقد أظهرت التجربة وعياً بالمخاطر الطارئة لدى كادر البنك، الذي أظهر استجابة اتسمت بالسرعة والتنظيم، كما أنها أكدت على التعاون الحثيث والفعال بين جميع المستويات، سواء فريق الأمن والسلامة في البنك، أو في الموظفين والإدارات والأقسام المختلفة».

تجارب

وتابع «إن مثل هذه الاختبارات والتجارب الافتراضية على الحالات الطارئة تعتبر جزءاً مهماً من عملية إدارة المخاطر، ويسعدنا في الدولي الإسلامي أن تظهر جميع الاختبارات التي نقوم بها في مجال إدارة المخاطر أننا في مرتبة متقدمة، ونسعى دوماً لأن نحقق المزيد في هذا المضمار».

وأشار التميمي إلى أنه «إضافة إلى التدريب والمعلومات والاختبارات المختلفة التي نقوم بها، فإننا وفي جميع المباني التابعة للدولي الإسلامي، نحرص على توفير جميع معدات الأمن والسلامة، بهدف الاستعداد والوقاية من أية مخاطر أو أحداث مفاجئة، حيث تتوفر في مباني البنك أجهزة

الإنذار من الحريق ومخارج الطوارئ الخاصة ومعدات إطفاء الحرائق واللوحات الإرشادية في كل الممرات

التي تدل على المخارج الأقرب لمستخدمي المبنى وجميع هذه المعدات

نختارها وفق أفضل المعايير المستخدمة عالمياً».

وفي ختام تصريحه، أعرب التميمي عن الشكر الجزيل لأعضاء فريقي الدفاع المدني والإسعاف الذين شاركوا في التجربة، وكذلك لفريق الأمن والسلامة بالدولي الإسلامي، كما شكر جميع الموظفين الذين تواجدوا في البنك، وقاموا بعملية الإخلاء وفق التعليمات والضوابط المعتمدة، وهو ما يؤكد جاهزية البنك تماماً للتعامل مع الحوادث والحالات الطارئة المحتملة.;
