Qatar Airways Cargo commences transpacific freighter service to Guadalajara from Macau

Doha: Qatar Airways Cargo has commenced freighter services to Guadalajara, Mexico, expanding its network in the Americas region. The new destination is being served by the airline’s Boeing 777 freighter.
Guadalajara has been added as a new destination on the cargo carrier’s high demand transpacific freighter route, commencing January 6, 2019.
The twice-weekly freighter departs directly from Macau to Los Angeles in North America and connects onward to Mexico City arriving in Guadalajara, before departing for Doha via Liège. Guadalajara is the capital and largest city of the Mexican State of Jalisco. It has the third-largest economy and industrial infrastructure in Mexico.
Major exports on the flights consist of perishables and general cargo, while general cargo will form the majority of imports. Qatar Airways Chief Officer Cargo, Guillaume Halleux, said: “We have had a very successful 2018. Our customers have welcomed the transpacific route, which is a faster solution over the Pacific for Asian exports destined for the Americas, and we are delighted to add Guadalajara as another stop on this route.
The twice-weekly freighter offers significant capacity into and out of this destination and is an important addition to our expanding network of more than 60 freighter destinations. The launch of this freighter service to Guadalajara not only provides a consistent and reliable service, but also contributes to economic and trade growth in Mexico.”
2018 has been highly successful for Qatar Airways Cargo with cargo volumes increasing by 10 per cent in 2018 compared to 2017. Exports grew by 14 per cent and transshipments have increased by 12 per cent over the previous year.
The carrier’s products have also performed exceptionally well with positive tonnage growth and the introduction of several enhancements to its products, such as the roll out of the automated mail management system across its network that greatly benefits customers of postal mail and e-commerce.
In addition to launching freighter services to Macau and commencing transpacific freighter services, the carrier added belly-hold cargo capacity to several key destinations and also received two brand new Boeing 777 freighters as part of its expansion strategy. Qatar Airways Cargo operated more than 300 charters carrying products ranging from racehorses, cattle, pharmaceuticals, perishables, garments and cars.
The cargo carrier also won two prestigious industry awards in 2018, recognising its continued growth and emphasis on delivering the highest levels of service in the air cargo industry.

وسوف تسيّر القطرية للشحن الجوي رحلتين أسبوعياً إلى مدينة غوادالاهارا، حيث وصلت الرحلة الأولى في السادس من شهر يناير لعام 2019. وسوف تغادر الرحلة من مكاو إلى لوس أنجلوس في أمريكا الشمالية، ثم ستحلّق إلى مكسيكو سيتي ثم الوجهة الجديدة غوادالاهارا، قبل أن تطير في رحلة العودة إلى الدوحة عبر لييج في بلجيكا.
وتعد غوادالاهارا العاصمة والمدينة الأكبر في ولاية جاليسكو، وتمتلك ثالث أضخم البنى التحتية اقتصادياً وصناعياً في المكسيك. وسوف تشكّل المواد سريعة التلف والبضائع العامة الأغلبية العظمى من الصادرات التي سيتم شحنها عبر الرحلة الجديدة.
وقال السيد غيلم هالو، رئيس عمليات الشحن الجوي في الخطوط الجوية القطرية: “لقد كان عام 2018 عاماً عنوانه النجاح والإنجازات، حيث شهد تدشيننا لخدمة نقل البضائع مباشرةً وبشكل أسرع بين آسيا والأمريكيتين فوق المحيط الهادئ، ويسعدنا الإعلان الآن عن إضافة مدينة غوادالاهارا في المكسيك إلى شبكة وجهاتنا العالمية. وسوف نسيّر رحلتين أسبوعياً إلى غوادالاهارا مما سينعكس إيجاباً على زيادة سعة الشحن الجوي من وإلى هذه المدن، بالإضافة إلى تعزيز شبكة وجهاتنا لتضم أكثر من 60 وجهة عالمية. كما ستساهم الرحلات الجديدة بإتاحة رحلات منتظمة وموثوقة إلى المدينة، والمساهمة في تعزيز النمو الاقتصادي والتجاري فيها”.
وكان العام 2018 عاماً ناجحاً بكل المقاييس للقطرية للشحن الجوي، حيث ارتفعت سعة الشحن الجوي بنسبة 10 بالمئة في 2018 مقارنة بعام 2017. ونمت الصادرات بنسبة 14%، فيما ارتفعت نسبة الشحنات المحوّلة بنسبة 12 بالمئة مقارنة بالعام الماضي. وشهدت خدمات القطرية للشحن الجوي نمواً ملحوظاً خلال الفترة الماضية مع نمو نسبة أطنان الشحن وتعزيز الخدمات، بما في ذلك إطلاق خدمة نظام إدارة البريد الآلي التي من شأنها أن تقدم خدمات ومزايا كثيرة للعملاء والتجارة الإلكترونية.
وبالإضافة إلى إطلاق رحلات الشحن الجوي إلى مكاو، أضافت الناقلة العديد من الوجهات الجديدة إلى خدمة نقل البضائع ضمن المساحة المخصصة للشحن الجوي في طائرات الركاب، ناهيك عن استلامها لطائرتي شحن من طراز بوينغ 777 ضمن استراتيجية التوسّع التي تنتهجها. وقدمت الناقلة خدمة تأجير الرحلات أكثر من 300 مرة لنقل خيول السباق والماشية والمنتجات الدوائية والمواد سريعة التلف والملابس والسيارات. وفازت الناقلة بجائزتين في عام 2018 تأكيداً على نموها المتواصل وحرصها على تقديم أعلى مستوى من الخدمات في قطاع الشحن الجوي عالمياً.
