MOI: Two people arrested, one for physical assault and the other for recording and publishing

Doha: The Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of two people, one of whom had physically assaulted another person, and the second who recorded the incident.
The ministry tweeted on its official account on Twitter “Referring to the video clip circulating on social media, in which a person assaulted another, while filming the incident of the assault, and then posting it on social media, and in light of the report submitted by the victim’s father, the competent authorities have started their procedures to arrest the assailant and whoever filmed him during the assault and published the incident”.
The ministry added that they were “referred to the competent prosecution to complete the procedures followed in this regard.”

أعلنت وزارة الداخلية القبض على شخصين، أحدهما قام بالاعتداء على شخص آخر، والثاني قام بالتصوير .
وقالت الوزارة – على حسابها الرسمي بموقع تويتر – “بالإشارة إلى مقطع الفيديو المتداول عبر وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي والذي يظهر فيه قيام شخص بالاعتداء بالضرب على آخر وتصوير حالة الاعتداء ومن ثم تداولها عبر وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي، وعلى ضوء البلاغ الذي تقدّم به والد المعتدى عليه، فقد باشرت الجهات المختصة إجراءاتها بالقبض على المعتدي ومن قام بتصويره في حادثة الاعتداء والنشر”.
وأضافت الوزارة أنه تم “إحالتهما إلى النيابة المختصة لاستكمال إجراءاتها المتبعة في هذا الشأن”.
