UDC to hold ‘Qanat Qarnevale’ for second time at The Pearl-Qatar

Following the outstanding success of last year’s festival, United Development Company (UDC), the master developer of The Pearl-Qatar and Gewan Islands, will be hosting “Qanat Qarnevale” for the second time across various sites at Qanat Quartier.

The carnival will be taking place from January 30 to February 2 between 4pm and 9pm.

A number of festive activities will be organised and will combine arts, music and leisure activities, which will be targeting children and families, residents and visitors alike. Children will be able to enjoy games and activities in the kids sections, whilst the whole family will have fun taking water taxi rides on the canals and watching shows such as acrobatics, LED dance performances, jazz music, glass blowing and water fountain shows.

There will also be game booths where visitors can win prizes in addition to outdoor cinema shows.

This event is part of UDC’s efforts to attract families in a unique and exciting atmosphere at The Pearl-Qatar, while introducing visitors to the newly-opened shops, restaurants and cafes that populate the Qanat Quartier district. This gala event will further strengthen The Pearl-Qatar’s position as one of the country’s elite tourist and entertainment attractions.

Qanat Quartier is a unique residential area of The Pearl-Qatar Island, known for its magnificent greenery, beach, canals, pedestrian-friendly squares, plazas and Venetian-like experience. The commercial area at Qanat Quartier offers a charming, yet lively environment with boutique shopping and a variety of coffee shops and restaurants to experience.

الدوحة، قطر – 29 يناير 2019: بعد النجاح المذهل لمهرجان العام الماضي، ستستضيف الشركة المتحدة للتنمية، المطور الرئيسي لجزيرتي اللؤلؤة-قطر وجيوان، مهرجان قناة كارتييه للمرة الثانية ضمن مواقع مختلفة في منطقة قناة كارتييه بجزيرة اللؤلؤة-قطر، وذلك خلال الفترة ما بين 30 من يناير الجاري حتى 2 من فبراير المقبل، من الساعة الرابعة عصراً وحتى التاسعة ليلاً.

سيتم تنظيم عدد من الفعاليات التي تجمع ما بين الفنون والموسيقى والأنشطة الترفيهية والتي تستهدف الأطفال والعائلات سواء من المقيمين والزوار على حدٍ سواء.

سيتمكن الأطفال من الاستمتاع بالألعاب والأنشطة في الأقسام المخصصة لهم، في حين ستستمتع العائلة بأكملها برحلات التاكسي المائي للتنزه عبر القنوات المائية ومشاهدة عروض مسرحية للألعاب البهلوانية وعروض راقصة بالتقنيات الضوئية وعزف موسيقى الجاز وعروض النفخ بالزجاج وعروض نافورة المياه الموسيقية. كما سيكون هناك أكشاك للعب حيث يمكن للزائرين الفوز بجوائز عديدة، إضافة إلى عرض للأفلام في الهواء الطلق.

ويأتي مهرجان قناة كارتييه في إطار جهود الشركة المتحدة للتنمية لاستقطاب العائلات وحثهم على قضاء أجواء ترفيهية مميزة بجزيرة اللؤلؤة-قطر، وذلك ضمن مبادرات الشركة الرامية إلى تعريف زوار الجزيرة بالمحلات والمطاعم والمقاهي التي افتُتحت مؤخراً في قناة كارتييه، وتدعيم مكانة اللؤلؤة-قطر كأحد أبرز ملامح الدولة ووجهاتها السياحية والترفيهية.

وتُعد قناة كارتييه منطقة سكنية جذابة وفريدة نظراً لروعة تصاميمها الهندسية بما تتضمنه من ساحات خضراء وشاطئ رملي وقنوات مائية وميادين عامة، وبالتالي فإنها أضحت منطقة صديقة للمشاة يتردد السكّان على مطاعمها الراقية ومحلاتها التجارية الفاخرة.
