National Day an occasion for Qatar Airways to raise flag in 160 countries: Al Baker

Doha: CEO of Qatar Airways, Akbar Al Baker, said that Qatar National Day is an important occasion for the airline’s pride in raising the name and flag of the State of Qatar in the skies of more than 160 destinations around the world.

“The pride, loyalty, and love of the State of Qatar and everyone living on its land has become a cornerstone of Qatar Airways and a cornerstone of the annual celebrations of the national day,” he told Qatar News Agency (QNA).

He added that the celebration of the National Day is an opportunity to reassure the world that belonging, unity, and solidarity are the attributes of all citizens and residents on the land of the State of Qatar, and that this unique mutual love cements our strength and determination to live with integrity and pride and stimulates our quest for a better future.

He pointed out that the rich heritage of Qatar and its achievements over the past 100 years are reflected in various aspects of development, strength, planning for the future and the progressive thinking we are living today, as the founder has laid the foundations for the construction of the State of Qatar on 18 December of 1878 with the aim of creating a united, independent state with bright future.

He added that the wise vision of the founder has borne fruit, as Qatar today is a cohesive and stable country that plays a major role in the international fora. That vision has become an inspiration for future generations to become tomorrow’s leaders, he said stressing that the new generations are the first pillar on which achievement, the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030 was built.

He pointed out that the illegal and unfair siege imposed by neighboring Gulf states against the State of Qatar in June 2017 aimed to harm the state, and destabilize the security and economic development that it is witnessing. But the determination, dignity, and strength demonstrated by everyone under the leadership of Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani have stopped this unprecedented attack on the sovereignty of Qatar.

He added that Qatar has been working to strengthen its position as an active partner at the regional and international levels, as well as continue to work on the growth of its booming economy and maintaining its focus to achieve its National Vision 2030, pointing that Qatar’s ability to develop various sectors is proof of the stability and strength of the people of Qatar, which has a history of achievements and the ability to overcome challenges and adversities.

Al Baker added that respect, loyalty, and dedication shown by the millions from various nationalities who call the State of Qatar their second homeland are an essential part of the identity of Qatar, which citizens respect the noble feelings towards their beloved country.

He said that Qatar Airways, the national carrier, is making every effort to transport more people from around the world to the State of Qatar to explore Qatar’s hospitality and unique heritage, looking forward to many new achievements and bringing more visitors from around the world to the country.

قال السيد أكبر الباكر الرئيس التنفيذي للخطوط الجوية القطرية، “إن اليوم الوطني لدولة قطر يعد مناسبة مهمة لاعتزاز الناقلة برفع اسم وعلم دولة قطر عالياً في سماء أكثر من 160 وجهة حول العالم”.

وأضاف في تصريح لوكالة الأنباء القطرية “قنا” بمناسبة الاحتفال بذكرى اليوم الوطني للدولة، أن الشعور بالفخر والولاء والحب لدولة قطر ولجميع من يعيش على أرضها، أصبح ركيزة من الركائز الأساسية للخطوط الجوية القطرية، كما أنه ركيزة أساسية من ركائز الاحتفالات السنوية باليوم الوطني للدولة.

ولفت إلى أن الذكرى السنوية للاحتفال باليوم الوطني تعد فرصة للتأكيد للعالم بأن الانتماء والوحدة والتعاضد هي صفات يحملها جميع المواطنين والمقيمين على أرض دولة قطر، وأن هذا الحب المشترك الفريد من نوعه، يعزز من قوتنا وإصرارنا للعيش بنزاهة وفخر، ويحفز من سعينا لضمان مستقبل أفضل.

وأشار الباكر إلى أن التراث الغني والتاريخ الحافل بالإنجازات لدولة قطر على مدى الـ100 عام الماضية، ينعكس في مختلف أوجه التطور والقوة والتخطيط الناجع للمستقبل والفكر التقدمي الذي نعيشه اليوم، حيث كان المؤسس قد وضع ركائز البناء لدولة قطر في 18 ديسمبر من العام 1878 ،بهدف إنشاء دولة متحدة ومستقلة وذات مستقبل مشرق.

وأضاف أن الرؤية الحكيمة للمؤسس آتت ثمارها حيث أصبحت قطر اليوم دولة متماسكة ومستقرة، تلعب دوراً رئيسياً على الصعيد الدولي، فيما باتت أحد المصادر التي تلهم أجيال المستقبل لكي يصبحوا قادة الغد.. مشددا على أن الأجيال الصاعدة هم الركيزة الأولى التي ينبني عليها تحقيق أهداف رؤية قطر الوطنية 2030.

ولفت إلى أن الحصار غير القانوني وغير العادل الذي بدأته دول خليجية مجاورة ضد دولة قطر في شهر يونيو 2017، كان هدفه الرئيسي إلحاق الأذى بالدولة، وزعزعة الاستقرار الأمني والتطور الاقتصادي الذي تشهده البلاد بشكل مستمر، ولكن الإصرار والكرامة والقوة التي أظهرها الجميع تحت قيادة حضرة صاحب السمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني أمير البلاد المفدى، وقف بوجه هذا الهجوم غير المسبوق على سيادة دولتنا الحبيبة، ليصبح موقفنا في وجه هذا الحصار مثالا يحتذى به.

وأضاف الباكر أن دولة قطر عملت على تعزيز موقعها كشريك فعال على الصعيدين الإقليمي والدولي، بالإضافة إلى استمرارها في العمل على نمو اقتصادها المزدهر والمحافظة على تركيزها لتحقيق رؤيتها الوطنية 2030، لافتا إلى أن قدرة قطر على تطوير مختلف القطاعات ما هي إلا دليل على ثبات وقوة الشعب القطري، الذي يتمتع بتاريخ حافل بالإنجازات والقدرة على تخطي التحديات والشدائد.

وأكد الرئيس التنفيذي للخطوط الجوية القطرية أن الاحترام والولاء والتفانيِ الذي أظهره الملايين من الجنسيات المختلفة الذين يطلقون على دولة قطر اسم وطنهم الثاني، يعد جزءاً أساسياً من هوية قطر التي يحترم مواطنوها تلك المشاعر النبيلة تجاه دولتهم الحبيبة.

وقال في ختام تصريحه “إن الناقلة الوطنية لدولة قطر، لا تدخر جهداً لنقل المزيد من الشعوب من مختلف أنحاء العالم إلى دولة قطر لتمكينهم من استكشاف الضيافة والتراث الفريد لقطر، مع التطلع إلى تحقيق الكثير من الإنجازات الجديدة ونقل المزيد من الزوار من مختلف أنحاء العالم إلى الدولة”.
