University Expo Qatar to open on November 28

Doha: University Expo 2018, aimed at giving an unique opportunity for parents and children aged 16 and above to explore a wide range of academic and career opportunities, will be held this week.

Offering inspirational seminars and career choices with local and international universities, this event will provide students direct access to pertinent information about their futures, will be on November 28 and 29 at the Qatar National Convention Center.

Professionals who are considering furthering their executive education will also be able to find their pick of the most prestigious postgraduate courses.

The 2018 edition of University Expo Qatar will welcome more than 3,000 visitors.

“This expo offers an umbrella of information for young people pertaining to their tertiary education such as life as a student, scholarship programmes, managing finances and studying abroad through one-on-one interactions with key university representatives. For those looking to further their experience in their respective fields, there will also be information around postgraduate degrees and courses”, said Mohammed Al Obaidly, Board Member, Informa Tharawat.

University Expo Qatar will welcome over 65 leading universities and education providers from around the world including the largest contingents of universities based in Qatar. College of North Atlantic, Community College Qatar, Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU); a member of Qatar Foundation and Qatar University are among some of the tertiary institutes showcasing at this year’s exhibition.

Over fifteen countries will also be represented including Cyprus, France, Germany, Hong Kong, United Kingdom and the United States of America. International universities showcasing at University Expo Qatar include Middle East Technical University, Penn State University, Swansea University, Texas A&M University and the University of Northumbria to name a few.

In its eighth year, University Expo Qatar allows students and parents to attend over 15 seminars to get personalized advice and detailed explanations concerning any questions or issues they may have about higher education as well as studying overseas. Speakers from these seminars include H.E Ali Zainal, Ambassador of State of Qatar, Unesco, Melissa Deschamps, Regional Educational Advising Coordinator (REAC), MENA, Education USA, Rawan Khir, Manager –International Education Services, British Council, Dr Ameer Al-Nemrat, Senior Lecturer and Programme Leader, University of East London and Mohamed Salhi, Trade Commissioner, Canadian Embassy.

تنطلق فعاليات معرض قطر الدولي للجامعات الأربعاء المقبل، ويستمر لمدة يومين اثنين في مركز قطر الوطني للمؤتمرات. ويتوجّه المعرض إلى فئة الشباب من عمر 16 سنة وما فوق، فضلاً عن أولياء الأمور، والمستشارين في مجال التعليم، ومديري المدراس، والمختصين في التوجيه المهني، إلى جانب المهنيين الباحثين عن فرص لمتابعة مسارهم الأكاديمي.

ويشارك في المعرض أكثر من 65 جامعة رائدة، إلى جانب مراكز ومؤسسات مختصة في مجال التعليم من كل أنحاء العالم، بما فيها كبرى الجامعات في قطر، مثل كلية شمال الأطلنطي، وكلية المجتمع في قطر، وجامعة حمد بن خليفة العضو في مؤسسة قطر، وجامعة قطر، فضلاً عن غيرها من الهيئات الرائدة التي ستشارك في نسخة هذه السنة من المعرض.

ويصل عدد الدول الممثلة في المعرض إلى أكثر من 15 دولة، منها: قبرص، وفرنسا، وألمانيا، وهونج كونج، والمملكة المتحدة، والولايات المتحدة الأميركية. وستشمل الجامعات العالمية المشاركة في المعرض كلاً من جامعة الشرق الأوسط التقنية، وجامعة ولاية بنسلفانيا، وجامعة سوانسي، وجامعة تكساس أيه آند أم، وجامعة نورثمبريا، إلى جانب عدد من الجامعات العالمية الأخرى.;
