ويعقد المؤتمر تحت رعاية معالي الشيخ عبدالله بن ناصر بن خليفة آل ثاني رئيس مجلس الوزراء وزير الداخلية، ويهدف إلى إيجاد سبل تدفق المعلومات في القطاع المالي وإدارتها وحمايتها.

على صعيد آخر أكد سعادة الشيخ ناصر بن حمد بن ناصر آل ثاني رئيس الأعمال التجارية في أوريدو قطر ، أنه مع التطورات الكبيرة للتعاملات الإلكترونية في القطاع المالي والمصرفي ومع تزايد طبيعة وأعداد التحديات التي تواجه هذا القطاع بالتعاملات الإلكترونية بالقطاع المالي وغيره فقد أصبح أمن الشبكات الإلكترونية في القطاع المالي ضرورة ملحة لا يمكن الاستغناء عنها وأصبح الاستمرار بتطويرها لمواجهة جميع التحديات هو السبيل الوحيد لحماية الأنظمة المالية والمصرفية الإلكترونية.
