QTA, Katara Hospitality partner for Enna project

As part of its ongoing collaboration with private sector partners to develop tourism offerings and experiences, Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Katara Hospitality to manage Al Enna, a winter camping project at Sealine scheduled to kick off on November 1 and continue until April 15.

Under the agreement, Katara Hospitality will manage the beach facilities, services and activities, including cabin rentals, 32 kiosks for food and beverages and a play area for children. The company will also provide and manage the required human resources, such as security personnel, cleaners, lifeguards, technicians, and others.

“While improving services is one of the main objectives of Al Enna project, benefiting from local talents in the hospitality sector is part of QTA’s strategy to develop the tourism sector. The partnership between QTA and Katara Hospitality is a long standing strategic that includes joint work on various events and other areas of co-operation,” QTA representative and Al Enna project official spokesperson Omar al-Jaber said.

Commenting on the partnership, Sealine Beach (a Murwab Resort) general manager Nawaf al-Obaidly said: “We are honoured to enter this partnership with QTA for the Al Enna project that aims enhance the overall desert and camping experience through improved services and safety, protecting the environment at Sealine.”

“Sealine Beach Resort with its years of experience in the hospitality sector, is committed to the success of the project and thereby contribute to the Qatar National Vision 2030 by actively participating in the economic diversification process,” he added.

Al Enna project, which seeks to develop the winter camping experience in Sealine region, is supported by various government and private bodies including Qatar’s Ministry of Municipality and Environment, Ministry of Interior, Public Works Authority, Qatar Olympic Committee, Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation, Batabit (Qatar Centre for Motorcycles), Mawater, and Katara Hospitality.

وقعت كل من الهيئة العامة للسياحة و«كتارا للضيافة» مذكرة تفاهم، تهدف إلى تعزيز التعاون بين المؤسستين، في إطار تعزيز التعاون بين المؤسسات الحكومية وشركات القطاع الخاص، لتطوير التجارب والمنتجات السياحية. وتأتي هذه الاتفاقية في إطار تعاون ودعم عدد من الجهات والمؤسسات الحكومية والخاصة لتطوير مشروع «العنّة»، والذي ستنطلق فعالياته يوم 1 نوفمبر، ويستمر حتى 15 أبريل 2019.

وبموجب الاتفاقية ستكون «كتارا» للضيافة مسؤولة عن إدارة المرافق والفعاليات والخدمات في منطقة الشاطئ، بما في ذلك إدارة تأجير المقصورات والخدمات الشاطئية، و32 كشكاً للأطعمة والمشروبات، ومنطقة ألعاب الأطفال، وتوفير وإدارة القوى البشرية اللازمة من موظفي الأمن، وعمال النظافة، ورجال الإنقاذ، والفنيين، وغيرهم.

وقد مثّل الهيئة السيد عمر الجابر، المتحدث باسم مشروع العنّة، حيث قال: «يأتي تحسين الخدمات وتطوير مستواها ضمن أهم أهداف مشروع العنّة، في حين تأتي الاستفادة من الخبرات المحلية المتطورة في قطاع الضيافة، ضمن استراتيجية عمل الهيئة العامة للسياحة لتطوير القطاع السياحي»، وأضاف: «علاقة الشراكة والتعاون بين الهيئة وشركة كتارا للضيافة هي شراكة استراتيجية تمتد منذ فترة طويلة، وعلى مستوى مختلف المجالات والفعاليات».

وتعليقاً على هذه الشراكة، قال السيد نواف علي العبيدلي، مدير عام «منتجع شاطئ سيلين»: «يشرفنا أن ندخل هذه الشراكة مع الهيئة العامة للسياحة في مشروع «العنّة» الذي يهدف إلى تعزيز تجربة الصحراء والتخييم بشكل عام، من خلال الخدمات المتطورة، وإجراءات السلامة الجدية، ومعايير حماية البيئة في سيلين». وقال: «إن منتجع شاطئ سيلين الذي يمتلك سنوات من الخبرة في قطاع الضيافة ملتزم بنجاح المشروع، ويساهم بالتالي في رؤية قطر الوطنية 2030، من خلال المشاركة النشطة في عملية التنويع الاقتصادي».

يذكر أن مشروع العنّة لتطوير تجربة التخييم الشتوي في منطقة سيلين، يشهد تعاون ودعم عدد من الجهات المختلفة، وهي: وزارة البلدية والبيئة، ووزارة الداخلية، وهيئة الأشغال العامة، واللجنة الأولمبية القطرية، ومركزي «مواتر» و»بطابط»، والاتحاد القطري للسيارات والدراجات النارية، و»كتارا» للضيافة.;
