Samsung Galaxy Note 9 with a KILOGRAM of gold on the back on sale for £45,000

A RUSSIAN gilding firm is offering a ritzy version of Samsung’s new smartphone with a kilogram of gold on the back.

Caviar will sell you its ‘Fine Gold’ Galaxy Note 9 with the heavy gold back-plate for a small fee of just 3.87million rubles – or £45,000.

Samsung only announced its new smartphone last week, and it’s expensive enough as it is.

The phone costs anywhere from £899 to £1,099, making it one of the costliest handsets on the market.

But Russia’s Caviar has taken it up a notch, sticking 1,000 grams of gold on the back of the phone.

They’re making a hefty profit, too – a kilo of gold is currently worth just shy of £30,000.

The phone is even designed to look like “the very shape of a gold ingot”, and comes etched with its gold-weight on the back.

A kilogram is seriously heavy when it comes to smartphones.

Typically, a common smartphone would weigh somewhere between 100 and 200 grams.

For instance, last year’s iPhone 8 weighs just 148 grams.

And the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 bought normally will weigh around 201 grams – roughly five times lighter than Caviar’s modified version.

“We decided that the record-breaking, technically advanced, maximally ‘heaped’ Samsung Galaxy Note 9, whose characteristics are really impressive, is worthy of the absolutely unique version from Caviar,” the company explains.

It adds: “This is an unforgettable gift for a man who is difficult to surprise.”

Caviar is known for its pricey creations.

It regularly charges tens of thousands of pounds for bejewelled and gilded gadgets.

Some of its products are particularly zany – you can buy golden handsets with the faces of US President Donald Trump and Russian leader Vladimir Putin.

But Caviar isn’t the only company milking ultra-rich gadget fans.

Earlier this week, we revealed how British gold-plating firm Goldgenie was already flogging a solid gold version of Apple’s iPhone XS.

It’s a bold move, given that Apple isn’t due to reveal its next iPhone until early September.

But Goldgenie is already offering pre-orders for a 24-karat version of the 2018 iPhone model.

You can place your order now for a bargain £100,000 – and you’ll only need a £50,000 deposit initially.

Excitingly, the gilded “Billionaire Edition” iPhones are limited edition. Just 23 models will be made, each stamped with their respective unit numbers.

وقدمت الشركة أيضاً الهاتف بدرجات متفاوتة من النقش الذهبي وبالطبع الشعار الذهبي للشركة، أما بالنسبة إلى السعر فستأتي هذه النسخة من الهاتف بسعر 3.87 ملايين روبل أي ما يقارب 60 ألف دولار أو 50 ألف يورو.
