Qatar Airways joins hands with CAPA for aviation summit
“القطرية” تستضيف قمة “كابا” للسياسة الجوية فبراير المقبل
DOHA: Qatar Airways announced yesterday its partnership with leading aviation market intelligence body, CAPA – Centre for Aviation, for the inaugural ‘CAPA Qatar Aviation, Aeropolitical and Regulatory Summit’, set to take place in Doha from February 5-6, 2019.
As the first aeropolitical event of its kind to be held in the Middle East, the high-level forum will unite approximately 300 senior decision-makers from across the airline, legal and government sectors to discuss the latest developments in international aviation regulation, both within the Gulf region and globally.
Among the key topics to be included in the agenda for the two-day event are issues relating to ownership and control, open skies and market access.
Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, Akbar Al Baker, said: “Qatar Airways is delighted to host the upcoming CAPA Qatar Aviation, Aeropolitical and Regulatory Summit in Doha. This conference, CAPA’s first aeropolitical event to be held in the Middle East, will provide a forum for the discussion of key topical issues, including the rapidly evolving global regulatory environment, existing constraints on international cooperation and the future of open skies”.
“We look forward to welcoming senior aviation executives, members of the legal community, governmental officials and all guests to Doha in February for this important summit,” he added.

أعلنت الخطوط الجوية القطرية عن استضافة النسخة الأولى من قمة مركز معلومات الطيران (كابا) قطر للسياسة الجوية وتنظيم الطيران، والتي ستقام في مدينة الدوحة في الخامس والسادس من شهر فبراير لعام 2019.
وتعد هذه القمة الأولى من نوعها التي تقام في منطقة الشرق الأوسط، حيث ستجمع قُرابة 300 من صنّاع القرار وكبار المسؤولين من قطاع الطيران والقطاع القانوني والحكومي للنقاش حول آخر التطورات في القواعد التنظيمية للطيران على مستوى الشركات الخليجية والعالمية.
ومن ضمن القضايا التي ستتناولها القمة قضايا الملكية والسيطرة والسماء المفتوحة وإمكانية الوصول إلى الأسواق.
وقال سعادة السيد أكبر الباكر، الرئيس التنفيذي لمجموعة الخطوط الجوية القطرية: “يسرّ الخطوط الجوية القطرية استضافة النسخة القادمة من قمة كابا قطر للسياسة الجوية وتنظيم الطيران في مدينة الدوحة. وتعد هذه القمة أول مؤتمر حول موضوع السياسة الجوية ينظّمه مركز كابا للطيران في منطقة الشرق الأوسط، وسوف يوفّر منصّة مميزة للنقاش حول مجموعة من القضايا المهمة، مثل النمو السريع للبيئة العالمية المنظّمة لقطاع الطيران، والقيود الحالية المفروضة على التعاون الدولي، ومستقبل الجهود المبذولة لتطبيق سياسة السماء المفتوحة”.
وأضاف سعادة السيد الباكر: “نتطلع إلى الترحيب بجميع المسؤولين من قطاع الطيران والممثلين من الأوساط القانونية والدوائر الحكومية وجميع الضيوف في مدينة الدوحة لحضور هذه القمة المهمة في شهر فبراير”.
من جهته، قال السيد بيتر هاربيسون، المدير التنفيذي لمركز كابا للطيران: “يسعدنا أن نتعاون مع الخطوط الجوية القطرية لإقامة النسخة الافتتاحية من قمة كابا قطر للسياسة الجوية وتنظيم الطيران. وتقام هذه القمة المهمة في توقيت مناسب لمناقشة قضايا رئيسية حول الملكية والسيطرة والسماء المفتوحة وإمكانية الوصول إلى الأسواق”.
وأضاف: “ندعو جميع قادة قطاع الطيران إلى الانضمام إلينا في الدوحة للمشاركة في حوارات ومناقشات مهمة، وإلى لقاء كبار صنّاع القرار من قطاع الطيران والمؤسسات الحكومية”.
