Qatar Airways discusses enhancing tourism cooperation with Vietnam

DOHA: Qatar Airways Group met yesterday with a Vietnamese delegation led by Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang Municipal Party Committee Vo Cong Tri, as the airline prepares to launch its direct flights to Da Nang, its third destination in Vietnam.

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Akbar Al Baker emphasised Qatar Airways’ ongoing commitment to boost tourism in Vietnam. Al Baker said, “This year marks a historic milestone between the State of Qatar and Vietnam as we celebrate 25 years of diplomatic relations and 11 years of service between Qatar Airways and Vietnam. Our current routes to Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi are already incredibly popular, and we are delighted to extend our reach into Vietnam with the upcoming launch of direct services to Da Nang, which demonstrates our commitment to further supporting the Vietnamese market.”

Qatar Airways recently announced the launch of direct flights to Da Nang, Vietnam, starting December 19, 2018. The four-times-weekly flights will be served with a Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, featuring 22 seats in Business Class and 232 seats in Economy Class.

Da Nang, one of Vietnam’s key port cities, boasts beaches with tranquil, clear blue water and offers breathtaking views all year round, making it an ideal vacation spot. Da Nang has also recently seen a tremendous increase in visitors, with a record-breaking 6.6 million tourists in 2017, double the number in 2013.

Qatar Airways first commenced operations to Ho Chi Minh City in 2007 and was the first Gulf carrier to offer non-stop service to Vietnam’s largest city. Shortly afterward, Hanoi was added to the airline’s fast-growing global network in 2010. Since the start of this year, passengers have benefited from frequency increases to both cities, with Qatar Airways now flying twice daily to Hanoi and 10 times a week to Ho Chi Minh City.

واشتمل الوفد الفيتنامي على عدد من كبار الممثلين الحكوميين من دا نانغ، ثالث المدن الفيتنامية التي ستنضم لشبكة وجهات الخطوط الجوية القطرية قريباً.

وأعلنت «القطرية» مؤخراً إطلاق رحلاتها إلى مدينة دا نانغ في فيتنام، اعتباراً من 19 ديسمبر 2018. وسوف تسيّر الناقلة طائرة من طراز بوينج 787 دريملاينر على الرحلات إلى دا نانغ، حيث تضم هذه الطائرة 22 مقعداً على درجة رجال الأعمال، و232 مقعداً على الدرجة السياحية.

التزام

وأكد السيد الباكر، خلال لقائه بالوفد، التزام الناقلة القطرية بتعزيز القطاع السياحي في فيتنام، وقال: «نحتفل هذا العام بمرور 25 عاماً على العلاقات الدبلوماسية بين دولة قطر وفيتنام، ومرور 11 عاماً على وصول أولى رحلات الخطوط الجوية القطرية إلى مدينة هو تشي منه الفيتنامية. وتشهد رحلاتنا إلى مدن هو تشي منه وهانوي إقبالاً ملحوظاً من قبل المسافرين، ويسرّنا الآن تعزيز حضورنا في فيتنام مع إطلاق رحلاتنا إلى مدينة دا نانغ قريباً، لنؤكد حرصنا على تعزيز القطاع السياحي في فيتنام».

وتعد مدينة دا نانغ إحدى المدن الساحلية المهمة في فيتنام، وتستقطب السياح بفضل احتوائها على مياه زرقاء صافية وشواطئ رائعة، بالإضافة لتمكينها الزوّار من الاستمتاع بالعديد من المناظر الطبيعية الجميلة على مدار العام. كما شهدت دا نانغ مؤخراً صعوداً هائلاً من حيث أعداد الزوّار، حيث تضاعفت أعداد الزوّار إلى 6.6 مليون زائر في عام 2017، مقارنة مع العام 2013.;
