Moscow–Doha rally team gets warm welcome
مشاركو رالي موسكو الدوحة يصلون إلى قطر بإستقبال حافل
Doha: The “Moscow – Doha” motor rally team arrived in Qatar with much fanfare. Touted as the rally’s debut on the international platform, it started from Russia on April 18 for a 20-day voyage to arrive in Doha.
The team comprised of 11 participants, one among them is a Qatari Student, Ahmed Yussef Al Hail, who is continuing his studies at MGIMO in Russia.
The Ambassador of Qatar to the Russian Federation, Fahad bin Mohamed Al Attiya, along with Hassan Al Ibrahim, Assistant Secretary-General of Qatar Tourism Council, and other dignitaries welcomed the rallyists, who arrived in Qatar during a reception held in their honour, to celebrate the success of “Moscow-Doha” Rally in the world of rallying and introduce it to the motor sports aficionados in town in the presence of VIP and media representatives.
On this occasion, Fahad Bin Mohamed Al Attiya, said, “I am delighted to welcome the participants of the “Moscow-Doha” Rally in Qatar. With the successful run of the maiden rally, we take pride in announcing that it will now be an annual event, which will leave its imprint on the global rally map.”
Elated at this achievement, Hassan Al Ibrahim, “First of all, I would like to welcome the participants in the Rally (Moscow Doha), the first rally of its kind, which intends to support sports tourism – one of the four main pillars identified by the National Tourism Sector Strategy 2017—2023.”
“This initiative aims to achieve the objectives of growth and development in the sports tourism sector. We have been able to strengthen the status of the State of Qatar during the past years as a preferred sports tourism destination desired by all athletes and sports people from different sports fields and sectors. Through such impactful initiatives, the National Tourism Council works to promote and increase its diversity, highlighting Qatar’s unparalleled capabilities, facilities and offerings in the region. Today with this rally, we are cultivating one of the most fruitful results of those efforts.”
From his side, Alexander Korobko who was leading the “Russian Hour” film crew who were documenting this first episode of the rally, said, “I would like to thank the State of Qatar for the warm welcome we received from the moment we arrived in Doha, as well as to the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Russia, represented by Fahd bin Mohammed Al Attiyah, and Hassan Al Ibrahim for their endless support and contribution for the successful launch of the “Moscow Doha” rally, and announcing it an annual affair to attract more youth towards sports and its growing importance.”
وصل المشاركون في رالي “موسكو الدوحة” إلى دوحة الخير، في أول انطلاقه له على المستوى العالمي، والتي كانت بدايته من موسكو بتاريخ 18 ابريل 2019 ولمدة عشرين يوماً وصولاً إلى الدوحة، حيث ضم 11 فرداً من بينهم الطالب القطري أحمد يوسف الهيل.
وقد رحب سعادة السيد فهد بن محمد العطية سفير قطر إلى جمهورية روسيا الاتحادية، والسيد حسن عبد الرحمن الإبراهيم مساعد الأمين العام للمجلس الوطني للسياحة، بالمشاركين الذين حطوا رحالهم في قطر خلال حفل استقبال أقيم على شرفهم للاحتفاء بالانطلاقة الأولى لرالي “موسكو الدوحة” في عالم الراليات بحضور كبار الشخصيات ونخبة من وسائل الاعلام.
في هذه المناسبة قال سعادة السيد فهد بن محمد العطية – سفير دولة قطر إلى جمهورية روسيا الاتحادية: “يسعدني أن أرحب بالمشاركين في رالي “موسكو الدوحة” في قطر، والذي خاض تجربته الأولى والفريدة من نوعها، معلنين بذلك عن إطلاق هذا الحدث السنوي الذي سيضع بصمة على خارطة الراليات العالمية”.
من جانبه قال السيد حسن عبد الرحمن الإبراهيم، مساعد الأمين العام للمجلس الوطني للسياحة: “بداية أود أن أرحب بالمشاركين في رالي (موسكو الدوحة)، الرالي الأول من نوعه، والذي يدعم السياحة الرياضية، أحد المجالات الأربعة الرئيسية التي حددتها الإستراتيجية الوطنية لقطاع السياحة 2017 2023 لتحقيق أهداف النمو والتطوير في القطاع السياحي. لقد استطعنا أن نعزز مكانة دولة قطر خلال الأعوام الماضية كوجهة سياحية رياضية مفضلة، حيث تتجه إليها أبصار المهتمين من مختلف أنواع الرياضات، والتي تعتبر أحد عوامل الجذب السياحي الذي يعمل المجلس الوطني للسياحة على تعزيزها وزيادة تنوعها طبقاً لإستراتيجيته في تسليط الضوء على ما تتمتع به قطر من إمكانيات ومرافق لا مثيل لها في المنطقة، واليوم نقطف إحدى ثمار تلك الجهود”.
في السياق ذاته قال ألكسندر كوروبكو رئيس طاقم التصوير من شركة “راشن آور”: “أود أن أتوجه بالشكر إلى دولة قطر على حفاوة الاستقبال التي حظينا بها منذ لحظة وصولنا إلى الدوحة، والشكر موصول إلى سفارة دولة قطر في روسيا ممثلة بسعادة السيد فهد بن محمد العطية سفير دولة قطر إلى جمهورية روسيا الاتحادية، والسيد حسن الابراهيم مساعد الأمين العام للمجلس الوطني للسياحة، على دعمهم لانطلاق رالي “موسكو الدوحة”، الذي بدون دعمهم ومساعدتهم لما تمكنا من تحقيق هذا الانجاز”.
وأضاف: “شارك في النسخة الأولى من رالي “موسكو قطر” 11 شخصاً بينهم الطالب القطري أحمد يوسف الهيل، ونسعى للترويج لهذا الرالي على المستوى العالمي ليكون حدثاً رياضياً سنوياً على خارطة سباق الراليات العالمي”.
