Car repair centre penalised for operating without licence

A car repair centre in the Industrial Area has been penalised for operating without a licence, the Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC) has announced.
Accordingly, the centre was compelled to regulate its status in commercial licences and records, the MEC said in a press statement on Sunday.
The violation was detected during a surprise inspection campaign conducted by the ministry, targeting car repair centres (garages), industrial facilities and vocational workshops in the Industrial Area in order to monitor the compliance of these outlets with laws and regulations governing commercial activities.
The inspection campaign comes within the framework of the ministry’s efforts to regulate markets and commercial activities across Qatar and to ensure compliance with laws and regulations governing commercial activities in order to crack down on violations and uncover irregularities, the statement notes.
The campaign targeted 60 repair centres, industrial facilities and workshops, the MEC said.
The ministry has urged merchants and shop owners to abide by regulations and laws governing commercial activities. It has also invited them to learn about laws and regulations governing commercial activities by visiting the ministry’s website at www.mec.gov.qa to avoid legal accountability and fines.

قامت وزارة الاقتصاد والتجارة بتنفيذ حملة تفتيشية مفاجئة على عدد من مراكز إصلاح السيارات (الكراجات) والمنشآت الصناعية والورش المهنية في المنطقة الصناعية، وذلك بهدف مراقبة التزام هذه المراكز والمنشآت والورش بالقوانين واللوائح المنظمة لممارسة الأنشطة التجارية.
وتأتي هذه الحملة التفتيشية في إطار حرص الوزارة على تنظيم ومراقبة الأسواق والأنشطة التجارية بالدولة، ومراقبة مدى الالتزام بالقوانين واللوائح المنظمة لممارسة الأنشطة التجارية، بهدف ضبط المخالفات والكشف عن التجاوزات.
وأسفرت تلك الحملة التفتيشية -التي شملت 60 مركزاً ومنشأة صناعية وورشة مهنية- عن مخالفة أحد مراكز إصلاح السيارات؛ لأنه يعمل بدون ترخيص، وجرى إخطار المركز المخالف بتعديل أوضاعه في الرخص والسجلات التجارية.
وحضت الوزارة جميع التجار وأصحاب المحالّ التجارية على ضرورة الالتزام بأنظمة وقوانين مزاولة الأنشطة التجارية المعمول بها. وتدعو الوزارة جميع التجار وأصحاب المحالّ التجارية إلى الاطلاع على الأنظمة والقوانين المنظمة لممارسة الأنشطة التجارية، من خلال زيارة موقع وزارة الاقتصاد والتجارة www.mec.gov.qa حتى لا يتعرضوا للمساءلة القانونية والمخالفة.
كما حثت الوزارة جميع المواطنين والمقيمين على الإبلاغ عن أي تجاوزات أو مخالفات تخص التسجيل والتراخيص التجارية من خلال قنوات التواصل المختلفة.;
