Temporary Traffic Diversion on Al Khor Coastal Road
تحويل مروري مؤقت على طريق الخور الساحلي
To enable the construction of a signal-controlled intersection at the intersection of Al Oqda Street with Al Khor Coastal Road and to lay underground utilities, the Public Works Authority will temporarily divert traffic on part of Al Khor Coastal Road in the direction from Ansar Gallery to Al Khor Mall.
This diversion is implemented in cooperation with the General Directorate of Traffic. It will start on Saturday 7 July 2018, and will last for three months.
During this period, traffic will be diverted to the opposite side of Al Khor Coastal Road to keep one lane open to traffic in each direction. A new temporary roundabout was constructed at the mentioned intersection to ease traffic flow during the diversion period, as shown in the attached map.
This traffic diversion is part of a project to upgrade link roads to Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor, which includes the construction of 5.3 kilometres of roads, with three lanes in each direction, all leading to the four sides of the stadium. These roads will facilitate access to bus stations and car parking around the stadium.
بهدف إنشاء تقاطع بإشارات مرورية عند تقاطع شارع العقدة مع طريق الخور الساحلي وتمديد مرافق الخدمات تحت الأرض، ستقوم هيئة الأشغال العامة بتحويل مروري مؤقت على جزء من طريق الخور الساحلي بالاتجاه من أنصار جاليري إلى مول الخور.
يتم هذا التحويل المروري بالتعاون مع الإدارة العامة للمرور ويبدأ يوم السبت 7 يوليو 2018 ويستمر لمدة 3 أشهر. سيتم خلال هذه الفترة نقل الحركة المرورية إلى الجهة المقابلة من طريق الخور الساحلي للحفاظ على مسار واحد مفتوح للمرور بكل اتجاه. كما تم إنشاء دوار مؤقت عند التقاطع المذكور لتسهيل الحركة خلال فترة التحويل المروري، كما هو مبين في الخريطة المرفقة.
يأتي هذا التحويل المروري ضمن أعمال مشروع تطوير الطرق المحيطة باستاد البيت في منطقة الخور، والذي يشمل إنشاء طرق بطول 5.3 كيلومتر بثلاثة مسارات بكل اتجاه، جميعها تؤدي إلى استاد البيت من الاتجاهات الأربعة، وتسهل الوصول إلى محطة الحافلات ومواقف السيارات المحيطة بالاستاد.
