Ministry recalls Porsche Panamera models of 2017-2018

The Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC), in collaboration with Porsche Centre Doha – Al Boraq Automobiles Co, dealer of Porsche vehicles in Qatar, has announced a recall of Porsche Panamera models of 2017-2018 over a defect regarding the durability of the installed connecting links on the rear PDCC anti-roll bar.

The vehicle identification number (VIN) of the affected vehicles is as follows:

WP0ZZZ97ZHL151557 – WP0ZZZ97ZHL152539 – WP0ZZZ97ZJL132071 – WP0ZZZ97ZHL152680 – WP0ZZZ97ZJL145166 – WP0ZZZ97ZJL145368 – WP0ZZZ97ZJL172184 and WP0ZZZ97ZJL172218.

In a press statement yesterday, the MEC said the recall campaign came within the framework of its ongoing efforts to protect consumers and ensure that car dealers followed up on vehicle defects and repairs.

The ministry has said it will co-ordinate with the dealer to follow up on the maintenance and repair works and communicate with customers to ensure that the necessary repairs are carried out.

وذلك لوجود خلل في متانه الوصلات المثبتة على القضبان المقاومة للتدحرج لنظام (PDCC)، ويأتي هذا الاجراء في إطار التنسيق والمتابعة المستمرة من وزارة الاقتصاد والتجارة للتأكد من مدى التزام وتقيد وكلاء السيارات بمتابعة عيوب السيارات وتصحيحها لحماية حقوق المستهلكين.

وأكدت الوزارة أنه سيتم التنسيق مع وكيل الشركة لمتابعة عمليات الصيانة والتصليح والتواصل مع العملاء للتأكد من تنفيذ الإجراءات وتصحيح الخلل والعيوب في السيارات التي تشملها العيوب.
