Fastest mobile network 4G speeds in Myanmar available on Ooredoo

Ooredoo Myanmar offers the fastest network speeds available in Myanmar, according to Ookla, a global leader in fixed broadband and mobile network testing applications, data and analysis.

Between January and June this year, Speedtest users initiated 149,413 tests on 4G-avaliable devices across Myanmar. Ookla conducts rigorous analysis on the consumer-initiated tests and Ooredoo users provided results in 282 localities.

Ooredoo achieved the highest average download speeds of tests taken on 4G-available devices among all the top mobile network operators in Myanmar, the company said in a statement yesterday. The average speeds were 38.23Mbps for downloads and 20.65Mbps for uploads.

Ooredoo Myanmar was the first operator to launch 4G services in the country and has continued to upgrade network sites across the country to boost speed. In June, it announced the successful roll-out of its 4G Plus network across 244 townships in Myanmar.

As part of a major network and infrastructure project set to offer the widest and fastest 4G plus network in the country, it will expand its 4G Plus network to 300 townships by October 2018.

Currently, more than 16mn people are able to access Myanmar’s fastest and widest 4G network and is continuously growing as people clamour for faster mobile network speed.

As a testament to its efforts, Ooredoo Myanmar received in July the ‘Most Innovative Network Transformation Initiative’ award in the 21st Telecom Asia Awards 2018 for its initiatives on the improvement of network coverage and speed.

وخلال الفترة ما بين يناير ويونيو 2018، أجرت Ookla تحاليل دقيقة عبر اختبارات عديدة أجراها المستخدمون في 22 موقعاً عبر أنظمة Speedtest التابعة لشركة Ookla، والمتوفرة عبر الإنترنت وتطبيقات الأجهزة الجوالة. وقد حققت «ooredoo ميانمار» النتيجة الأعلى من حيث سرعة التنزيل والتحميل في عدد من الاختبارات التي أجريت باستخدام أجهزة تدعم تقنية 4G، وذلك بالمقارنة مع الشركات الأخرى المشغلة لخدمات الاتصالات في ميانمار.

واقع ملموس

يذكر أن «ooredoo ميانمار» تعد أول شركة اتصالات تطلق خدمات 4G في البلاد، وقد واصلت ترقية مواقع شبكاتها في جميع أنحاء ميانمار، بهدف زيادة سرعة الإنترنت.

وفي يونيو 2018، أعلنت الشركة عن إطلاق شبكة 4G+ بنجاح في حوالي 244 بلدة في ميانمار، وذلك ضمن إطار مشروع رئيسي للشبكة والبنية التحتية، يهدف إلى توفير شبكة 4G+ الأسرع والأكثر انتشاراً في البلاد.

سرعات أعلى

ويوجد في ميانمار حالياً أكثر من 16 مليون شخص يمكنهم الوصول إلى شبكة 4G الأسرع والأوسع انتشاراً في البلاد، ويتزايد هذا العدد باستمرار مع زيادة طلب الحصول على سرعات أعلى للإنترنت الجوال عبر الشبكة.

وتتويجاً لجهودها المتواصلة، حصلت «ooredoo» ميانمار على جائزة «المبادرة الأكثر ابتكاراً في تطوير الشبكات»، ضمن حفل جوائز آسيا للاتصالات في نسخته الحادية والعشرين، والذي أقيم في يوليو 2018، وذلك تقديراً لمبادراتها المتعلقة بتوفير تغطية أكبر للشبكة، وزيادة سرعة الإنترنت.;
