قطر وروسيا توقعان اتفاقية للتعاون القضائي ومحاربة الفساد
DOHA: The State of Qatar and the Russian Federation yesterday signed a cooperation agreement in the fields of justice, combating corruption and cooperation in the field of major sports events.
Attorney-General H E Dr Ali bin Fetais Al Marri and Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Yury Chaika signed the agreement.
The Attorney-General, who is visiting Moscow, said that the cooperation between the Public Prosecution in the State of Qatar and its Russian counterpart is not new, adding this agreement renewed the commitment of the two parties to consolidate cooperation in a deeper and greater way.
Al Marri noted in a statement after the signing that the agreement also included cooperation in the field of major sports events, especially the organisation of the World Cup. He added that Russia is about to organise the FIFA World Cup this summer and that a group of Qatar’s deputy public prosecutors are scheduled to join their Russian counterparts to share expertise and follow-up events, in addition to learn about how to investigate fan-related issues, as such issues will benefit the Qatari side in the management of sports events thereafter.
He also added that a delegation from the Public Prosecution of the Russian Federation is scheduled to visit Doha soon to benefit from Qatar’s judicial experience and enhance bilateral cooperation in this field.
وقعت دولة قطر وروسيا الاتحادية اتفاقية تعاون اليوم، في المجالات القضائية ومحاربة الفساد والتعاون في مجال قضايا الأحداث الرياضية الكبرى.
وقع الاتفاقية من الجانب القطري سعادة الدكتور علي بن فطيس المري النائب العام، ومن الجانب الروسي سعادة السيد يوري تشايكا النائب العام بروسيا الاتحادية.
وقال سعادة النائب العام، الذي يزور موسكو حاليا، إن التعاون بين النيابة العامة في دولة قطر ونظيرتها الروسية ليس بجديد وبهذه الاتفاقية تم تجديد التزام الطرفين بتوطيد التعاون ليستمر بشكل أعمق وأكبر.
وأشار سعادته في تصريح له عقب التوقيع، إلى أن الاتفاقية تضمنت أيضا التعاون في قضايا الأحداث الرياضية الكبرى خاصة تنظيم مونديال كأس العالم، مضيفا أن روسيا مقبلة على تنظيم كأس العالم لكرة القدم هذا الصيف وستكون هناك مجموعة من وكلاء النائب العام القطري من المقرر أن تنضم إلى وكلاء النائب العام الروسي لتبادل الخبرات ومتابعة الأحداث والاطلاع على كيفية التحقيقات في القضايا المتعلقة بالمشجعين، حيث إن مثل هذه القضايا سيستفيد منها الجانب القطري في إدارة البطولات الرياضية بعد ذلك.
كما أوضح سعادة النائب العام أن وفدا من النيابة العامة بروسيا الاتحادية من المقرر أن يزور الدوحة قريبا للاستفادة من التجربة القطرية القضائية وتعزيز التعاون بين البلدين في هذا المجال.
