Summer working hours in open workplaces effective from June 15: Ministry
تحديد ساعات العمل بالأماكن المكشوفة خلال الصيف
Doha: The Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs has announced that special working hours in open workplaces during summer will take effect from June 15 and will last till August 31 and warned of strict action against companies who don’t comply.
The decision, Ministerial decision No (16) of 2007, stipulates that starting from June 15 to August 31, the work done under the sun or in open workplaces must not be longer than five hours in the morning and must stop between 11:30 am and 3:00 pm.
Employers are required to set a working hours timetable in accordance with the decision. The timetable should be placed in a clearly visible area where all workers can see and labor inspectors can easily spot during their inspection visits.
The Ministry called on the owners of establishments to respect the provisions of the decision and warned that any company violating the decree will be closed for a period not exceeding one month, stressing that inspectors will conduct field visits on the sites to ensure compliance with the provisions of the decision.
The Ministry also called upon those concerned in the companies and various sectors to take into account the conditions of the workers and working conditions in accordance with the prescribed controls.
تبدأ وزارة التنمية الإدارية والعمل والشؤون الاجتماعية ابتداء من تاريخ 15/6/2018 العمل بالقرار الوزاري رقم (16) لسنة 2007 بتحديد ساعات العمل في الأماكن المكشوفة خلال الصيف.
وينص القرار على أن تُحدد ساعات العمل، للأعمال التي تؤدى تحت الشمس أو في أماكن العمل المكشوفة، خلال المدة من 15 يونيو وحتى 31 أغسطس من كل عام، بحيث لا تزيد على خمس ساعات في الفترة الصباحية، و يقضي القرار بحظر العمل في الفترة الصباحية بعد الساعة الحادية عشرة والنصف صباحاً في حين يبدأ العمل بالفترة المسائية اعتباراً من الساعة الثالثة.
ويُلزم القرار كل صاحب عمل بأن يضع جدولاً بتحديد ساعات العمل اليومية طبقاً لأحكام هذا القرار، وأن يضع الجدول في مكان ظاهر يَسهُل على جميع العمال الاطلاع عليه، ويستطيع مفتشو العمل ملاحظته أثناء زياراتهم التفتيشية على مكان العمل.
وأهابت الوزارة بأصحاب الشركات عدم مخالفة أحكام القرار، ما يعرّضهم لغلق مكان العمل لمدة لا تتجاوز الشهر، وسوف يقوم مفتشو العمل بإجراء زيارات ميدانية على مواقع الشركات للتأكد من التزامها بأحكام القرار ، وتحرير مخالفة لأي شركة تُلزم عمالها بالعمل خلال فترة الحظر.
كما دعت الوزارة المعنيين بالشركات والقطاعات المختلفة إلى مراعاة أوضاع العمالة وظروف العمل لديهم تطبيقاً للضوابط المقرّرة.
