Milipol Qatar 2018 to showcase latest innovations in homeland security

DOHA: Under the patronage of Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the 12th edition of Milipol Qatar 2018, attracts strong participation from big local companies specialised in Homeland Security and Civil Defence.

The event set to take place from October 29 to 31 at Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC) and feature local and international exhibitors and several country pavilions — including Italy, France, Germany, UK and North America .

It presents a unique opportunity for international homeland security solutions providers to demonstrate their latest innovations to protect internal and international borders.

“The 12th edition of Milipol Qatar 2018 will be the most engaging event in the exhibition’s history and it presents a myriad of opportunities for our security partners from around the world to demonstrate their products and services designed to enhance internal security and safety while networking with global industry experts and emerging players,” said Brigadier Nasser bin Fahad Al Thani (pictured), President of Milipol Qatar Committee.

A number of Qatari companies have already confirmed their participation including Barzan Holding, Abdullah Abdulghani& Bros. Co. Toyota, Saleh AlhamadAlmana Co. Nissan –, Ooredoo, Mannai Corporation, Huawei, Cisco, Dell, Al-Salam Technology, Eshhar Holding, Vega for security and military equipment, Somod Resilience Center, Qatar Security Systems Company, Flora Security Systems, Teleco.Moreover, each ofthe Ministry of Interior and Lekhwiya Internal Security Force, will be present with a 1,045 sqm exhibition booth, manned by skilled administration teams.

Homeland security and public safety is an ever-growing industry with worldwide spending set to reach $96bn by the end of this year, according to Gartner, the world’s leading research and advisory company.

“Milipol Qatar 2018 will further emphasise Qatar’s position as a crucial destination for top-level exhibitions and conferences in the future and we are very much looking forward to an intriguing agenda-shaping exhibition in October”, President of the Committee added.

The world-renowned Milipol Qatar show shines light on the latest and extensive range of defence, security, detection and prevention solutions to protect populations. This year’s edition will, for the first time, include live demonstrations, where exhibitors, visitors and buyers can witness new products and innovations in action.

Milipol Qatar 2018, the leading event dedicated to Homeland Security in the Middle East, incorporates the Civil Defence Exhibition & Conference to become a Global Security & Safety Event, that will bring together key global civil defence players, for a range of focused conference sessions and agenda-setting panel discussions on the latest and emerging civil defence trends and best practices.

في إطار الاستعدادات لاستضافة الحدث الأهم في مجال الأمن الداخلي والدفاع المدني على مستوى منطقة الشرق الأوسط، من المتوقع أن تلعب الدورة الـ 12 من معرض ميليبول قطر 2018، دوراً محورياً في تحديد الملامح المستقبليّة لقطاع الأمن الداخلي والسلامة العامة، خصوصاً وأن الحدث سيستقطب كوكبة من كبار خبراء الدفاع الوطني ومتخصصي الأمن والسلامة في العالم، والذين سيجتمعون تحت سقفٍ واحد لمناقشة أهم المستجدات في القطاع.

وتستضيف الدوحة الدورة الـ 12 من معرض ميليبول قطر 2018، والذي ستنظّمه وزارة الداخلية بين 29-31 أكتوبر المقبل في مركز الدوحة للمعارض والمؤتمرات، وذلك بحضور مجموعة واسعة من العارضين المحليين والدوليين. كما سيشهد المعرض استضافة أجنحة دولية، وتمثل العديد من البلدان، من ضمنها: إيطاليا، وفرنسا، وألمانيا، والمملكة المتحدة، وأميركا الشمالية.

وفي تصريحات له، قال العميد ناصر بن فهد آل ثاني رئيس لجنة «ميليبول قطر»: ستكون دورة 2018 من معرض ميليبول قطر الأضخم والأقوى من حيث المشاركة في تاريخ المعرض منذ إطلاقه، إذ ستتيح لشركائنا في قطاع الأمن الداخلي حول العالم مجموعة واسعة من الفرص المجزية، واستعراض أحدث منتجاتهم وخدماتهم المصممة خصيصاً لتعزيز الأمن الداخلي والأمن، فضلاً عن فسح المجال أمامهم للتواصل بشكل بنّاء مع كبار الخبراء وأبرز الشركات الناشئة في القطاع.

وسيسلط «ميليبول قطر 2018» الضوء على مجموعة من أحدث حلول الدفاع والأمن والرصد والوقاية المخصصة لحماية السكان، كما ستنفرد دورة هذا العام بتقديم عروضٍ تفاعلية حية، حيث يمكن للعارضين والزوار والمشترين الاطلاع بشكل مباشر على أحدث المنتجات والابتكارات الجديدة في القطاع.

ويؤكد منظّمو المعرض أن الإضافة الجديدة لقطاع الدفاع المدني ستساهم في تعزيز مكانة «ميليبول قطر» كمنصة دولية رائدة لمجالات الأمن الداخلي في منطقة الشرق الأوسط، والذي سيجمع بين اللاعبين الرئيسيين في قطاع الدفاع المدني العالمي، من خلال سلسلة من جلسات المناقشة والندوات الحوارية التفاعليّة، التي ستسلّط الضوء على الاتجاهات الجديدة والناشئة وأفضل الممارسات في قطاع الأمن الداخلي والدفاع المدني.
