GDI bags first place in safety recognition award
«الخليج للحفر» الأولى في جوائز السلامة
DOHA: Gulf Drilling International (GDI) received first place in safety recognition award during Occidental Petroleum of Qatar Ltd.’s (OPQL) Annual HES Scorecard Program for 2017.
OPQL recognised GDI during its Quarterly Contractors Safety Meeting, Q1, 2018 held yesterday. OPQL began the HES Scorecard Program in 2015 in which all its contractors submit detailed HES performance statistics on a monthly basis through an online data collection and survey system. Year on year OPQL has raised the bar on its Scorecard Program.
In order to improve HES performance, the programme0 measures and notifies contractors’ compliance to contractual, regulatory, management and other applicable HSE requirements, including HES Culture Traits, while promoting healthy competition amongst contractors.
The plaque presented was by Kirby Lindsey, VP Operations OPQL; and received by Kevin Mutch, Al-Wajba Rig Manager; as well as Sajid Nawaz, QHSE Manager; Patrick Omalley, Asst. Operations Manager; and George Epia, HSE Supervisor of GDI.
Eng. Mubarak Awaida Al Hajri, CEO of GDI, thanked Occidental for this valuable award, which demonstrates GDI’s commitment to its client at the highest levels of service in accord-ance with the highest standards of safety in the field of work.
The CEO also thanked all GDI’s management and employees for their efforts and commitment that had resulted in this great achievement.
حصلت الخليج العالمية للحفر على جائزة المركز الأول ضمن الفائزين ببرنامج جوائز «أوكسيدنتال للبترول قطر المحدودة» لعام 2017، وذلك خلال اجتماعها ربع السنوي لسنة 2018، والذي عُقد أمس الأربعاء.
ومن الجدير بالذكر أن شركة أوكسيدنتال للبترول قطر قد باشرت برنامج سجّل أداء الصحة والسلامة والبيئة في عام 2015، والذي بموجبه يقدم جميع المقاولون إحصائيات أداء الصحة والسلامة والبيئة بصورة شهرية، وذلك عن طريق جمع البيانات إلكترونياً/ نظام المسح. يهدف البرنامج إلى رصد مدى امتثال المقاولين للمتطلبات التعاقدية والتنظيمية ومتطلبات الصحة والسلامة والبيئة، وكذلك تشجيع المنافسة البناءة بين المقاولين.
وقد قدّم السيد كيربي ليندسي، نائب الرئيس لإدارة العمليات في «أوكسيدنتال للبترول قطر»، درعاً تذكارياً لـ «الخليج العالمية للحفر» تسلّمه السيد كيفن ماتش، مدير منصة الحفر البحرية «الوجبة»، وذلك بحضور السيد باتريك أومالي مساعد مدير إدارة العمليات البحرية في الخليج العالمية للحفر، والسيدان ساجد نواز مدير إدارة الصحة والسلامة والبيئة، والسيد جورج إبيا المشرف في إدارة الصحة والسلامة والبيئة.
