السفير الألماني يفتتح مركز طلبات التأشيرات بالدوحة
DOHA: The Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, Hans-Udo Muzel, formally inaugurated the Visa Application Centre in Qatar yesterday which will process visa applications for Qatari citizens and residents in Qatar applying for Schengen visa to Germany as well as to Austria, Finland, Norway and Slovenia.
The centre is being operated by VFS Global, a leading outsourcing and technology services specialist for diplomatic missions worldwide. Speaking at the official opening, the German Ambassador said: “The new centre will provide a seamless experience to applicants and in general will boost the attraction of Germany as a business and tourist travel destination for Qatari citizens and residents alike”.
The VFS Global German Visa Application Centre in Doha is located at Level 1, Abdul Jaleel Business Center, Airport Road, Al Matar Street, Doha. Vinay Malhotra, Regional Group COO for Middle East, South Asia & China, VFS Global, said: “The centre started accepting visa applications since mid-February and we have been able to delight our customers with ease of service and professionalism”.
VFS Global expects to handle 200,000 visa applications including collecting biometric data across 10 countries in the Middle East mandated under a contract with Germany. Across the world, VFS Global already operates Visa Application Centers for Germany in nine countries.
افتتح سفير جمهورية ألمانيا الاتحادية سعادة هانس أودو موزيلي، أمس الأحد، مركز تقديم طلبات التأشيرة في دولة قطر الذي سيقوم بإجراءات طلبات التأشيرات للمواطنين القطريين والمقيمين في قطر المتقدمين للحصول على تأشيرة شنغن إلى ألمانيا، وكذلك إلى النمسا وفنلندا والنرويج وسلوفينيا.
وتشرف على تشغيل المركز الجديد «في إف إس جلوبال» الشركة المتخصصة الرائدة عالمياً في مجال توفير الموارد والتقنيات للبعثات الدبلوماسية على نطاق العالم.
وفي كلمته أمام حفل الافتتاح الرسمي، قال السفير الألماني: «سيوفر المركز الجديد تجربة سلسة للمتقدمين، وسيعزز بشكل عام من جاذبية ألمانيا كوجهة سفر تجارية وسياحية للمواطنين القطريين والمقيمين على حد سواء».
ويقع مركز في اف اس جلوبال لتأشيرات ألمانيا في الدوحة في الطابق الأول بمركز عبد الجليل التجاري على شارع المطار بالدوحة.
من ناحيته قال السيد فيناي مالهوترا، مدير العمليات الإقليمي للمجموعة في الشرق الأوسط وجنوب آسيا والصين، في إف إس جلوبال: «لقد بدأ المركز في قبول طلبات التأشيرات منذ منتصف شهر فبراير، وقد تمكنا من إسعاد عملائنا بسهولة الخدمة والكفاءة المهنية».
وتتوقع في اف اس جلوبال، التعامل مع ما يقرب من 200 ألف طلب تأشيرة بما في ذلك جمع البيانات البيومترية عبر 10 دول في الشرق الأوسط بموجب عقد مبرم مع ألمانيا. وعبر العالم تشغل في اف اس جلوبال مراكز استقبال طلبات التأشيرة إلى ألمانيا في تسعة بلدان.;
