Kahramaa records lowest power cuts since its establishment
“كهرماء” تسجل أقل فترة انقطاع للطاقة الكهربائية منذ نشأتها
Doha: The Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) registered during the last quarter of 2017 the lowest period of power cuts since the establishment of the Corporation, exceeding the global and regional indicators in this field.
According to a press release issued by Kahramaa yesterday, on the occasion of the quarterly performance review meeting during the fourth quarter of 2017, the water networks also achieved the required performance indicator with regard to the availability of the country’s water reserves under the increasing demand and expanded the water network to cover new sectors.
The statement added that Kahramaa has succeeded in implementing all projects according to plans developed without affecting delivery dates of projects, especially those serving development projects in the country.
The indicators showed a rise in the performance in the fourth quarter and during 2017 in general, as Kahramaa has been successful in maintaining the state’s electricity and water needs for all sectors in the country.
The meeting, which was chaired by President of Kahramaa Eng Issa bin Hilal Al Kuwari, was attended by directors of departments and aims to monitor and evaluate performance and review the progress of work in accordance with approved plans and to enhance the values committed by the institution.
The meeting reviewed performance reports of various administrations, their progress, the progress of projects they carry out, the difficulties encountered, and the mechanisms and strategies taken to solve them, in order to ensure the progress of work according to the approved plans especially in the current circumstances.
It also tackled the vision of Kahramaa and its strategic plans as a major development partner in the country, and its keenness to ensure that its commitments towards providing electricity and water to the country are met with high efficiency.
سجلت شبكات الكهرباء التابعة للمؤسسة العامة القطرية للكهرباء والماء “كهرماء” خلال الربع الأخير من عام 2017 أقل فترة انقطاع للطاقة الكهربائية منذ نشأة المؤسسة لتتجاوز بذلك المؤشرات العالمية والإقليمية في هذا المجال.
وأفاد بيان صحفي صادر عن كهرماء اليوم، بمناسبة عقد اجتماع مراجعة الأداء المؤسسي ربع السنوي لمراجعة أداء إداراتها خلال الربع الرابع لعام 2017، بأن شبكات المياه هي الأخرى حققت مؤشر الأداء المطلوب فيما يتعلق بتوفر المخزون المائي للدولة في ظل الطلب المتزايد وقامت بتوسيع الشبكة المائية لتغطية قطاعات جديدة.
وأضاف البيان أن كهرماء نجحت في تنفيذ كافة المشاريع حسب البرامج والخطط الموضوعة دون أي تأثير على مواعيد تسليم المشاريع لاسيما التي تخدم مشاريع التنمية بالدولة. كما سيتم تدشين أولى مراحل مشروع الخزانات الاستراتيجية الكبرى لتأمين المياه في الربع الثاني من 2018.
وأظهرت المؤشرات ارتفاع الأداء المؤسسي في الربع الرابع وخلال عام 2017 بوجه عام حيث جاء أداء المؤسسة مميزاً ونجحت كهرماء في المحافظة على استدامة توفير احتياجات الدولة من الكهرباء والماء لكافة القطاعات في الدولة.
وحضر الاجتماع الذي عقدته كهرماء والذي ترأسه المهندس عيسى بن هلال الكواري رئيس المؤسسة، مدراء الشؤون والإدارات ورؤساء الأقسام في كهرماء حيث يهدف هذا الاجتماع إلى متابعة وتقييم الأداء ومراجعة سير العمل وفقا للخطط المعتمدة ولتعزيز القيم التي تلتزم بها المؤسسة.
واستعرض الاجتماع تقارير أداء مختلف الإدارات وتطور أدائها، وسير العمل في المشروعات التي تنفذها، والصعوبات التي واجهتها، والآليات والاستراتيجيات التي اتخذت لحلها، بما يضمن سير العمل وفقا للخطط والبرامج الزمنية المعتمدة، لاسيما في ظل الظروف الحالية التي تمر بها البلاد.
كما تناول الاجتماع رؤية المؤسسة وخططها الاستراتيجية كشريك رئيسي في التنمية التي تشهدها البلاد، وذلك في إطار حرص كهرماء الدائم على استشراف المستقبل وضمان الوفاء بالتزاماتها نحو توفير الكهرباء والماء للبلاد بكفاءة عالية.
