إطلاق النسخة الثانية من كرنفال ترشيد تحت شعار “لخلق جيل واع”
DOHA: Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) opened yesterday the “Second Tarsheed Carnival” under its Tarsheed program that targets to reduce per-capita electricity and water consumption to eight percent and 15 percent, respectively during next five years.
The event that began yesterday at Kahramaa Awareness Park (KAP) aims at creating awareness about the conservation of electricity and water.
The event is being organised by Kahramaa’s National Program for Conservation and Energy Efficiency (Tarsheed) under a theme “to create a conscious generation”. The Carnival will continue until March 29. The Carnival is hosting school students in morning from from 8am to 2pm and general public from 4pm to 10pm.
The event aims at educating people about rationalisation of electricity and water consumption, said Abdulaziz Ahmed Al Hammadi, Director of Kahramaa’s Energy Efficiency and Rationalization Department while speaking with the media persons on the sideline of the inaugural ceremony of the Carnival.
“Under Qatar Development Strategy 2018-22, Tarsheed program targets to reduce per-capita electricity and water consumption to eight percent and 15 percent respectively,” said Al Hammadi.
He said that the target will help to save money, reduce gas consumption and carbon emission allowing Qatar to pursue the Paris Agreement on Climate Change. Many steps are being taken to achieve the target including adopting latest technologies to make electric appliances more energy efficient and installation of low-flow taps to save the water, said Al Hammadi.
Abdulaziz Ahmed Al Hammadi, Director of Kahramaa’s Energy Efficiency and Rationalization Department, said that awareness campaign will run to educate people about the important of conservation of resources adding that necessary rules and regulations will be also framed to meet the target.
Energy Efficiency and Rationalisation Department of Kahramaa is coordinating with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education to include the Tarsheed lessons in school curriculum, said Mohamad Ali Al Muhannadi, Director of Public Relation Department at Kahramaa. He said that school students are already receiving Tarsheed lessons through various awareness program at schools and Kahramaa Awareness Park.
Various pavilions have been set up at the Carnival to highlight the role of a number of government and private sectors including the Ministry of the Interior represented by Civil Defence, the Qatar Foundation represented by the Qatar Green Building Council, the Bedaya Centre represented by Qatar Development Bank and the Behavioral Health Support Center among many others. A number of recreation activities for children including pony riding, magic shows are being held at Carnival.
The carnival will celebrate Earth Hour with the theme “Connect with the Earth” in solidarity with the World Celebration on Saturday, which is one of the largest global environmental initiatives in which millions of people gather around the world by turning off the lights and unnecessary electrical appliances for an hour.
To observe the Earth Hour, unnecessary lights and electric equipment will be switched off from 8:30am to 9:30am on Saturday.
انطلقت فعاليات النسخة الثانية من كرنفال ترشيد الذي تنظمه المؤسسة العامة القطرية للكهرباء والماء /كهرماء/ من خلال البرنامج الوطني للترشيد وكفاءة الطاقة “ترشيد” في حديقة كهرماء للتوعية تحت شعار” لخلق جيل واع”.
وعن كرنفال ترشيد الذي ستستمر فعاليته حتى 29 مارس الجاري قال السيد عبدالعزيز الحمادي مدير إدارة الترشيد وكفاءة الطاقة في تصريحات صحفية على هامش انطلاق هذا الحدث، إن كرنفال ترشيد يقام لمدة أسبوع من كل عام، حيث انطلق للمرة الاولى في العام الماضي فيما يشهد نسخته الثانية هذا العام. وأضاف أن الهدف الرئيسي للكرنفال هو التوعية بكيفية استغلال الكهرباء والماء، وذلك بغرض تحقيق الاستدامة المائية والكهربائية.
وأشار الحمادي إلى أن الكرنفال يهدف ايضا لمشاركة المجتمع بأهداف الترشيد وتوعية الاجيال المستقبلية بأهمية الكهرباء والماء وأهمية الترشيد في استخدامها، خاصة أن برنامج ترشيد يسعى لخفض استهلاك المياه للفرد بنسبة 15 بالمئة والكهرباء بنسبة 8 بالمئة بحلول 2022 ، وذلك لما يترتب عليه من توفير المال وتوفير الغاز وتقليل الانبعاثات الكربونية، مؤكدا في الوقت نفسه تعدد الآليات لتنفيذ هذا الهدف ومنها الآليات التقنية والتكنولوجية مثل اللمبات وصنابير المياه الموفرة، والآليات التوعوية مثل هذا الكرنفال، والاليات القانونية مثل المخلفات واتخاذ الاجراءات القانونية لمن يثبت بحقه إهدار استخدام المياه والكهرباء.
ويتضمن كرنفال ترشيد العديد من الفعاليات والأنشطة التوعوية للجمهور وطلاب المدارس، وذلك بالتزامن مع عدد من الفعاليات التي تحتفل بها دولة قطر، حيث بدأ الكرنفال اليوم مع احتفال العالم بيوم المياه العالمي الذي يصادف الثاني والعشرين من مارس وبدء الاحتفال بأسبوع الترشيد الخليجي بالإضافة إلى ساعة الأرض، وذلك في يوم السبت الموافق 24 مارس الجاري.
وتقام الفعاليات على فترتين، حيث تم التركيز في الفترة الصباحية على طلاب المدارس وذلك من الثامنة صباحاً وحتى الثانية عشرة ظهراً والفترة المسائية للجمهور من الرابعة عصراً وحتى العاشرة مساءً.
ويهدف الكرنفال إلى تسليط الضوء على قضايا المياه، حيث يأتي موضوع اليوم العالمي للمياه لهذا العالم “المياه من أجل الطبيعة” في سبيل البحث عن الحلول القائمة على الطبيعة للمشاكل والتحديات التي تواجهها المياه تحت شعار الجواب في الطبيعة، كما يتضمن عدداً من الفعاليات والأنشطة للتوعية بأهمية الترشيد وكفاءة الطاقة لتحقيق الاستدامة، وذلك من خلال الأنشطة التفاعلية والمسابقات الترفيهية وتقنيات كفاءة الطاقة بالإضافة إلى العروض المسرحية.
كما يتضمن الكرنفال الاحتفال بساعة الأرض تحت شعار “تواصل مع الأرض “تضامنا مع احتفال العالم مساء بعد غد /السبت/ بهذه الفعالية التي تعد إحدى أكبر المبادرات البيئية العالمية، التي يجتمع خلالها ملايين الأفراد في مختلف أنحاء العالم، وذلك من خلال إطفاء الأضواء والأجهزة الكهربائية غير الضرورية لمدة ساعة من الثامنة والنصف مساء وحتى التاسعة والنصف مساءً.
يذكر ان / كهرماء / قد اطلقت البرنامج الوطني للترشيد وكفاءة الطاقة “ترشيد” في ابريل من العام 2012 ويهدف إلى زيادة الوعي بأهمية ترشيد استهلاك الكهرباء والمياه، وكفاءة استخدام الطاقة، وتوليد الكهرباء من مصادر بديلة لتحقيق الاستدامة.
