Katara To Host Qatar International Arabian Horse Championship

Doha: The Cultural Village Foundation Katara has signed a cooperation agreement with the Racing and Equestrian Club to host the Qatar International Arabian Horse Championship, as one of many events of the Katara International Horse Festival, which will be held in February 2021.
In this context, General Manager of the Cultural Village Katara Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti, said: “Katara intends to launch the first edition of the International Arabian Horse Festival, in which the Qatar International Arabian Horse Championship will be its most distinguished event”.
He added: “the hosting of this tournament in Katara reflects our endeavor to be present with our public in all forums, and until the creative, cultural and entertainment image that we present to our dear visitors is complete, we hope that the Qatar International Arabian Horse Championship will be a global event that attracts all those interested in the horse and equestrian world.”
For his part, Chairman of the Racing and Equestrian Club Issa bin Muhammad Al Mohannadi, said: “We are happy to be present in Katara, this distinguished cultural, to sign this agreement that resulted in hosting the Qatar International Arabian Horse Championship. We strongly hope that this agreement will lead to the development and progress of sports in general and the championship.”
The Katara International Arabian Horse Festival will be held at Katara Beach, which has been organizing and hosting the largest sports tournaments and competitions in the world. Katara often seeks to organize and host major festivals and international heritage exhibitions that embody the originality of the Qatari land and marine heritage.

الدوحة: وقعت المؤسسة العامة للحي الثقافي /كتارا/ اتفاقية تعاون مع نادي السباق والفروسية، لاستضافة بطولة قطر الدولية لجمال الخيل العربية، والتي ستكون إحدى فعاليات مهرجان كتارا الدولي للخيل، حيث ستطلقه كتارا في فبراير 2021.
وقال الدكتور خالد بن إبراهيم السليطي المدير العام للمؤسسة العامة للحي الثقافي: “إن /كتارا/ تعتزم من خلال هذه الاتفاقية إطلاق النسخة الأولى من مهرجانها الدولي للخيل العربية، والذي ستكون بطولة قطر الدولية لجمال الخيل العربية الأصيلة أبرز فعالياته”.
وأضاف “أن استضافة /كتارا/ لهذه البطولة الرياضية ينبع من سعينا لأن نكون متواجدين مع جمهورنا الكريم في جميع المحافل، وحتى تكتمل الصورة الإبداعية والثقافية والترفيهية التي نقدمها للزوار، إذ نأمل أن تكون هذه البطولة في قطر بمثابة حدث عالمي يستقطب جميع المهتمين بعالم الخيل والفروسية، والذي يترافق مع احتضان المؤسسة لمعرض كتارا الدولي للخيل العربية الذي سيزخر بالعديد من الأنشطة الثقافية المتعلقة بعالم الخيل”.
من جانبه، قال السيد عيسى بن محمد المهندي رئيس مجلس إدارة نادي السباق والفروسية: “سعداء بالتواجد في /كتارا/، هذا الصرح الثقافي المتميز بنشاطاته التي يشار إليها بالبنان، وبتوقيع هذه الاتفاقية التي أثمرت عن استضافة بطولة قطر الدولية لجمال الخيل العربية الأصيلة”، معربا عن أمله في أن تثمر الاتفاقية في تطوير الرياضة بشكل عام والبطولة بشكل خاص.
يذكر أن إقامة هذه البطولة الدولية الهامة ستكون في شاطئ الحي الثقافي /كتارا/، والذي دأب على تنظيم واستضافة كبرى البطولات والمسابقات الرياضية على مستوى العالم، فغالبا ما تسعى /كتارا/ إلى تنظيم واحتضان كبرى المهرجانات والمعارض التراثية الدولية التي تجسد أصالة الموروث القطري البري والبحري.
