Qatar Museums Launches New Program to Highlight Qatar’s Initiatives for Sustainable Future

Doha: In its continued efforts to raise awareness of initiatives that are driving Qatar’s sustainable future, Qatar Museums has launched Menthaar, a year-long program to introduce Culture Pass Plus and Culture Pass Family members to projects in Qatar that are working towards building a better tomorrow.

Through a series of tours, workshops, webinars, and talks, Menthaar, meaning to take a closer look in Arabic, affords the opportunity to learn about Qatar’s heritage, culture, environment, and its vision for the future.

Aisha Al Khater, Deputy CEO of Museum Affairs at Qatar Museums, said: “Menthaar is a wonderful way for Qatar Museums to engage its valued Culture Pass Plus and Culture Pass Family members in projects that are making a difference and contributing to the sustainable development of Qatar.”

Upcoming Menthaar events include: A sustainability webinar led by Qatar Green Building Council on 6 December. The online session will tackle how a greener home can establish a healthier environment that promotes occupants’ wellbeing and is the place where we will be sharing a series of quick tips for a healthier home.

On 10 December and 24 December, Culture Pass Plus and Culture Pass Family are invited to attend a tour of Al Shaqab, to learn more about Qatar’s natural heritage. The event will also include a tour of the Equine Exercise Centre, Equine Spa, and the Emiri Stables (Royal Stables).

Meanwhile, Culture Pass Plus and Culture Pass Family are invited to attend a tour of Kahramaa Awareness Park on 12 December, to learn more about the educational and awareness platform, whose role is to raise awareness in an entertaining and educational way, in order to disseminate information about conserving electricity and water. As well as learning about the park on the tour, members will also have the opportunity to explore the technology used in the building.

On 15 December, Culture Pass Plus and Culture Pass Family are invited to attend a tour of Education City Golf Club, a landmark project of Qatar Foundation.

الدوحة: أعلنت /متاحف قطر/ عن إطلاق برنامج /منظار/ في إطار جهودها المتواصلة للتوعية بالمبادرات المستدامة لمستقبل قطر، مشيرة إلى أن هذا البرنامج الذي يمتد على مدار عام كامل، يستهدف أعضاء فئتي /بطاقتك إلى الثقافة المميزة/، و/بطاقتك إلى الثقافة العائلية/.

وسيوفر البرنامج للمشاركين، من هاتين الفئتين، فرصة للتعرف على تراث قطر وثقافتها وبيئتها ورؤيتها للمستقبل، من خلال تنظيم سلسلة من الجولات الميدانية، وورش العمل، والندوات عبر الإنترنت، والمحاضرات.

وبمناسبة إطلاق هذا البرنامج، قالت السيدة عائشة الخاطر، نائب الرئيس التنفيذي للشؤون المتحفية في متاحف قطر، إن “برنامج /منظار/ يعد طريقة متميزة ومبتكرة لمتاحف قطر لإشراك أعضاء فئتي /بطاقتك إلى الثقافة المميزة/ و/بطاقتك إلى الثقافة العائلية/ في مشاريع بإمكانها أن تحدث فرقا في التنمية المستدامة بدولة قطر، والإسهام فيها”، مشيدة بالتعاون بين /متاحف قطر/ ومؤسسة قطر في تنظيم العديد من المبادرات والمحاضرات للتوعية برؤية قطر للمستقبل.

وأوضحت أن فعاليات البرنامج تشمل تنظيم ندوة عبر الإنترنت حول الاستدامة في 6 ديسمبر المقبل بقيادة مجلس قطر للمباني الخضراء، حيث سيناقش المشاركون في الندوة، عبر الإنترنت، كيفية مساهمة العيش بمنزل أكثر خضرة في إنشاء بيئة صحية تعزز رفاهية ساكنيه، فضلا عن تبادل وجهات النظر بخصوص النصائح السريعة لمنزل أكثر صحة.

وسيكون أعضاء فئتي بطاقتك إلى الثقافة المميزة، وبطاقتك إلى الثقافة العائلية، مدعوون أيضا لحضور جولة في الشقب يومي 10 و24 ديسمبر القادم، لمعرفة المزيد عن التراث الطبيعي لدولة قطر، والقيام بجولة في مركز تدريب الخيول، ومنتجع الخيول، والإسطبلات الأميرية، كما ستتوفر لهم فرصة المشاركة في جولة في حديقة كهرماء للتوعية يوم 12 ديسمبر المقبل، مثلما ستكون لهم فرصة زيارة نادي المدينة التعليمية للجولف، الذي يعتبر أحد المشاريع البارزة لمؤسسة قطر، يوم 15 ديسمبر المقبل.
