Qatar Museums calling artists to propose permanent public artwork

Doha: Qatar Museums is calling on artists to propose a permanent public artwork that speaks to the local communities through its 5/6 initiative programme.

Among the criteria are: artists will only be considered if their proposal meets the checklist at a minimum, artists can be at any stage of their career but must possess strong skills to execute the proposed project.

Also, the opportunity is for artists residing in Qatar (applicants must hold a valid Qatar residence permit), and successful applicants will receive a commission contract to execute the proposed public artwork.

Deadline of application is on August 5. Interested artists can apply through QM’s website qm.org.qa

الدوحة: تدعو متاحف قطر الفنانين إلى اقتراح عمل فني عام دائم ملائم للمجتمعات المحلية من خلال برنامج مبادرة 5/6.

ومن بين المعايير: لن يتم اعتبار الفنانين إلا إذا كان اقتراحهم يفي بقائمة المطلوبات على الأقل، ويمكن للفنانين أن يكونوا في أي مرحلة من مراحل حياتهم المهنية ولكن يجب أن يمتلكوا مهارات قوية لتنفيذ المشروع المقترح.

كما أن الفرصة متاحة للفنانين المقيمين في قطر (يجب أن يحمل المتقدمون تصريح إقامة قطري ساري المفعول)، وسيحصل المتقدمون الناجحون على عقد عمولة لتنفيذ الأعمال الفنية العامة المقترحة.

الموعد النهائي لتقديم الطلبات في 5 أغسطس. ويمكن للفنانين المهتمين التقديم من خلال موقع QM.org.qa على الإنترنت.
