Qatar is Set For ‘Rotating, Eco-floating’ Hotel

Doha: The world news website published a report in which it revealed Qatar’s plans to build a floating hotel in the next phase, as part of its efforts to improve the quality of the hospitality sector and push the country’s tourism forward over the next few years, Announcing that the Turkish architectural design company “Hayri Atak Architectural Design Studio ‘HAADS'” and in a post on its official Instagram account showed its recent vision about the shape of the hotel, which will be built in a way that will allow it to float on the coast of the capital Doha without mentioning the place of its official construction, HAADS pointed out that the final opening of the floating hotel project will be in 2025, which will play an important role in showcasing Qatar in the required form and in line with its vision for the future.

The report confirmed that the floating hotel will be equipped with a 24-hour rotation system, which will enable residents in all 152 rooms to permanently change scenery and enjoy the beauty of the Qatari coast, in addition to providing it with a system to save energy and reduce waste production. The hotel will be based on generating the power it needs on the so-called wind turbine and vertical axle canopy, giving it the ability to generate 25 kW through 55 VAWTAU units, one of the latest technologies used globally in the field of electricity generation.

The report indicated that the authorities responsible for the construction of this floating hotel are working hard to give it an environmentally friendly and more sustainable character, as It is expected to have a concave roof capable of collecting the water of the frame in order to be used to irrigate all the green sites inside the hotel, With a focus on the use and purification of seawater for use in the same purpose, while waste sorting units will be provided and food waste being converted into fertilizers, it can be relied upon to process and strengthen the green spaces that will be deployed in the various courtyards of the hotel.

وأكد التقرير أن الفندق العائم سيزود بنظام دوران لمدة 24 ساعة، ما سيمكن القاطنين في جميع غرفه التي يصل عددها إلى 152 من تغيير الرؤية بشكل دائم والتمتع بجمال الساحل القطري، بالإضافة إلى تزويده بنظام لاقتصاد الطاقة وتقليل إنتاج النفايات، حيث سيستند الفندق في توليد الطاقة التي يحتاجه على ما يسمى بتوربينات الرياح والمظلة ذات المحور الرأسي، ما يعطيه الإستطاعة على توليد 25 كيلو واط من خلال 55 وحدة ” VAWTAU ” أحد آخر التقنيات المستخدمة على المستوى العالمي في مجال توليد الكهرباء.

وبين التقرير أن الجهات المسؤولة عن تشييد هذا الفندق العائم تعمل بجد من أجل إعطائه طابعا صديقا للبيئة وأكثر استدامة، حيث من المنتظر أن يتمتع بسقف مقعر قادر على جمع مياه الأطار بهدف استخدامها لري جميع المواقع الخضراء داخل الفندق، مع التركيز على استخدام مياه البحر وتنقيتها من أجل استعمالها في ذات الغاية، في حين سيتم توفير وحدات لفرز النفايات وتحويل مخلفات الطعام في الفندق إلى أسمدة، يمكن الاستناد عليها في معالجة وتقوية المساحات الخضراء التي ستنشر في مختلف ساحات الفندق.
