Amir chairs third meeting of Supreme Council for Economic Affairs and Investment in 2021

Doha: Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Economic Affairs and Investment (SCEAI), chaired the Council’s third meeting in 2021 at the Amiri Diwan, yesterday morning.
Deputy Amir H H Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani, the Deputy Chairman of the Council, attended the meeting along with the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior H E Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, Executive Member of the Council, and Their Excellencies the members of the Council.
The Council reviewed the decisions and recommendations made in the second meeting, and the project follow-up report. The council also discussed the country’s economic priorities and took appropriate decisions on them.
The Council was briefed on the presentation on development plans and challenges related to the tourism sector, and the presentation on the banking sector in the country, its challenges and development mechanisms.
The Council was also briefed on the developments of the second national development strategy 2018-2022.
The council also dealt with the topics on its agenda and took appropriate decisions.

الدوحة: ترأس حضرة صاحب السمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني، أمير البلاد المفدى، رئيس المجلس الأعلى للشؤون الاقتصادية والاستثمار، الاجتماع الثالث للمجلس لعام 2021 بالديوان الأميري صباح يوم الأمس.
حضر الاجتماع سمو الشيخ عبدالله بن حمد آل ثاني، نائب الأمير، نائب رئيس المجلس، ومعالي الشيخ خالد بن خليفة بن عبدالعزيز آل ثاني، رئيس مجلس الوزراء ووزير الداخلية، العضو التنفيذي للمجلس، وأصحاب السعادة أعضاء المجلس.
استعرض المجلس ما تم من قرارات وتوصيات في الاجتماع الثاني، وتقرير متابعة المشاريع، كما ناقش المجلس سبل تنفيذ الأولويات الاقتصادية للدولة واتخذ بشأنها القرارات المناسبة.
واطلع المجلس على العرض الخاص بالخطط التطويرية والتحديات المتعلقة بقطاع السياحة، والعرض الخاص بالقطاع المصرفي بالدولة وتحدياته وآليات تطويره، كما اطلع المجلس على مستجدات استراتيجية التنمية الوطنية الثانية 2018-2022.
كما تناول المجلس المواضيع المدرجة على جدول أعماله واتخذ بشأنها القرارات المناسبة.
