The Coronavirus Vaccination Festival. Mockery haunts Lebanese Health Minister

The launch of the coronavirus vaccination in Lebanon last February drew widespread criticism, as the first day was accompanied by flagrant breaches in preventive measures and social distancing, involving Health Minister Hamad Hasan himself.

Social media activists described the vaccination process as a “festival”.

Activists posted photos and videos of the minister giving the vaccine to a number of patients, amid a large crowd of cameras and attendees, in a fatal blow to social distancing restrictions, at a time when infections in the country are increasing insanely.

Promoting a vaccine via a placebo

Also, in Lebanon, where a promotional video of the Coronavirus vaccine has gone viral and circulated by social media activists.

During a promotional video, a nurse appeared holding the vaccination syringe in preparation to inject it in the arm of a doctor at Rafik Hariri Hospital, but since she was acting, she did not press the syringe.

According to Al-Jazeera, Dr. Rabie Shaheen posted the video on his Instagram account as part of the promotion of the vaccination campaign, which was launched two days ago in Lebanon, but quickly deleted it after the criticism from social media activists.

He received five doses of the coronavirus vaccine by mistake.

A medical Centre worker in Singapore accidentally received 5 doses of Pfizer-bioNTech vaccine instead of one, without showing any side effects.

Media in Singapore quoted a statement published by the National Centre for Ophthalmology in Singapore as saying that one of the center’s workers responsible for diluting the vaccine doses with water had been absent from his workplace within a short period of time, while his colleague mistakenly thought that the amount of the concentrated vaccine in a vial was a single ready dose and received it in full, and the error was not discovered until minutes after the vaccine was injected.

The newspaper noted that an examination of the condition of the vaccine recipients showed that it was normal and had no side effects. He was hospitalized for two days to be monitored then was discharged from hospital in good health.

American barber defends vaccines against rumors

With his white comb and hair-cutting machine, Mike Brown, a barber in a modest suburb of Washington, D.C., fights stereotypes about the Covid-19 vaccine among his African American customers, whose community has a low demand for the vaccine despite the highest infection rates among them.

Since the onset of the pandemic, Mike Brown has been emphasizing the importance of taking preventive measures against coronavirus and taking the vaccine.

Brown responds to conspiracy theories he hears on social media through statistics, scientific data and expert statements.

On the four walls of his shop, virus awareness banners are mixed with newspaper clippings and a wall clock with a picture of Barack Obama. with a quote “I’m proud to pass on reliable information to our community,”.

His efforts are paying off, as he succeeded in persuading three of his clients to receive the vaccine after long questioning its effectiveness.

British singer withdraws from music festival over the vaccine

British singer Ian Brown has announced his withdrawal from the Weekender Music Festival after claiming that all attendees need to prove that they have received the Covid-19 vaccine with a more honest mechanism than is currently the case.

“I refuse to accept vaccination proof as condition of entry,” Brown Tweeted.

The festival’s advertising company said it would “comply with the conditions set by the British government,” but organizers told the Guardian newspaper that social distancing would be impossible, but would comply with the proposed measures, whether it would be quick tests or vaccine passports.

مهرجان تطعيم كورونا .. سخرية تلاحق وزير الصحة اللبناني

أثار انطلاق التطعيم ضد فيروس كورونا في لبنان فبراير الماضي، انتقادات واسعة، حيث ترافق اليوم الأول مع خروقات فاضحة في إجراءات الوقاية من الفيروس والتباعد الاجتماعي، اشترك فيها وزير الصحة حمد حسن بنفسه.

ووصف ناشطون عبر مواقع التواصل، انطلاق عملية التطعيم بـ”المهرجان”.

ونشر ناشطون صورا ومقاطع فيديو للوزير يعطي اللقاح لعدد من المرضى، وسط جمع غفير من الكاميرات والحضور، في ضربة قاضية لشروط التباعد الاجتماعي، في وقت تتزايد فيه الإصابات بالبلاد بشكل جنوني.

الترويج للقاح عبر تطعيم وهمي

من لبنان أيضاً، حيث تحول مقطع فيديو ترويجي للقاح كورونا إلى مادة رائجة تداولها رواد مواقع التواصل بسبب مشهد تمثيلي.

وظهرت ممرضة خلال مقطع ترويجي مصور وهى تمسك بإبرة التلقيح استعدادا لغرسها في ذراع أحد أطباء مستشفى رفيق الحريري بشكل تمثيلي، لكنها لم تضغط على الإبرة.

وحسب موقع “الجزيرة”، فقد  نشر الطبيب ربيع شاهين المقطع المصور على حسابه عبر موقع إنستغرام، في إطار الترويج لحملة التلقيح، التى انطلقت قبل يومين في لبنان، إلا أنه سرعان ما حذفه بعد انتقاد رواد مواقع التواصل له.

تلقى 5 جرعات من لقاح كورونا بالخطأ .. والنتيجة ..؟

تلقى عامل في مركز طبي في سنغافورة بالخطأ 5 جرعات من لقاح “فايزر-بيونتيك” المضاد لفيروس كورونا المستجد بدلا من واحدة، دون أن تظهر عليه أي أعراض جانبية.

ونقلت وسائل إعلام في سنغافورة عن بيان نشره المركز الوطني لطب العيون في سنغافورة أن أحد عاملي المركز المسؤول عن تخفيف جرعات اللقاح بالماء تغيب عن مكان عمله خلال فترة قصيرة من الزمن، بينما ظن زميله بالخطأ أن كمية اللقاح المركّز الموجود في قارورة عبارة عن جرعة جاهزة واحدة وتلقاها بالكامل، ولم يكتشف وقوع الخطأ إلا بعد دقائق من حقن اللقاح.

وأشارت الصحيفة إلى أن فحص حالة متلقي اللقاح أظهر أنها طبيعية ولا تشوبها أي أعراض جانبية. وتم وضعه في المستشفى لمدة يومين من أجل مراقبة حالته، ثم غادر المستشفى وصحته جيدة.

حلاق أمريكي يدافع عن اللقاحات ضد الشائعات

بمشطه الأبيض وآلته لجز الشعر، يكافح مايك براون الحلاق في ضاحية متواضعة في العاصمة الأمريكية واشنطن، الأفكار النمطية بشأن لقاح كوفيد-19 لدى زبائنه الأمريكيين السود الذين يسجل مجتمعهم إقبالا ضعيفا على تلقي اللقاح رغم معدلات الإصابة الأعلى في أوساطهم.

ولا يتوانى مايك براون منذ بدء الجائحة عن تأكيد خلال قص شعر زبائنه، أهمية التزام التدابير الوقائية من فيروس كورونا وأخذ اللقاح.

ويرد براون على نظريات المؤامرة التي يسمعها عبر وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي من خلال إحصائيات ومعطيات علمية وأقوال لخبراء.

وعلى جدران محله الأربعة، تتمازج لافتات التوعية من الفيروس مع قصاصات الصحف وساعة جدار عليها صورة باراك أوباما.. ويقول “أنا فخور بنقل معلومات موثوقة لمجتمعنا”.

وتؤتي جهوده بثمارها، إذ نجح في إقناع ثلاثة من زبائنه بتلقي اللقاح بعدما شككوا طويلا بفعاليته.

مغني بريطاني ينسحب من مهرجان موسيقي بسبب اللقاح

أعلن المغنى البريطانى ” إيان براون” انسحابه من “مهرجان ويكيندر الموسيقي” بعد أن ادعى أن جميع الحاضرين بحاجة إلى إثبات حصولهم على لقاح كوفيد 19 بآلية أكثر صدقا مما هو متبع حاليا.

وكتب “براون” على تويتر “أرفض قبول إثبات التطعيم كشرط لدخول المهرجان “.

وكانت شركة الدعاية المنظمة للمهرجان، قد قالت إنها “سوف تمتثل للشروط التي حددتها الحكومة البريطانية”، إلا أن المنظمين أخبروا صحيفة “الغاريان” بأن التباعد الاجتماعي سيكون مستحيلًا، لكنهم سيمتثلون للإجراءات المقترحة، سواء كانت اختبارات سريعة أو جوازات سفر لقاح.
