Milipol Qatar 2018 to focus on crucial role played by civil defence

Milipol Qatar 2018 will emphasise the vital role civil defence plays in protecting populations and ensuring public safety, the organisers have said.

The event will be held from October 29 to 31 at Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre under the patronage of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani.

The 12th edition of the leading homeland security and civil defence exhibition in the Middle East has incorporated the Civil Defence Exhibition and Conference “in line with its constant evolution to provide unmatched experiences for exhibitors, visitors, buyers and industry professionals and provide the link between defence specialists and key decision makers”, a press statement notes.

The collaboration of the two shows has “cemented the exhibition’s position as the region’s leading event of its kind” and will bring together key global players for a series of focused conference sessions and agenda-setting panel discussions on the latest and emerging civil defence trends and best practices, the statement notes.

In the constantly evolving modern world, civil defence continues to play an increasingly important role in protecting citizens of a state in emergencies, disasters and everyday life and covers the full gamut of related issues, including crisis management, emergency management, emergency preparedness, contingency planning, civil contingency, civil aid and civil protection.

Milipol Qatar 2018, organised by the Ministry of Interior (MoI) in Qatar and France-based Comexposium Security, will offer exhibitors, buyers and visitors “a tailored platform to network and close deals for a better, safer future for all”. The exhibition presents increasing opportunities for organisations across the full spectrum of sectors to demonstrate how they can contribute towards safety and security for the world’s population.

“Qatar’s Ministry of Interior has made great strides in ensuring that Qatar has world-class civil defence systems in place and continues to raise awareness of public safety through industry-leading conferences and exhibitions, lectures and outreach programmes and training,” said Brigadier Nasser bin Fahad al-Thani, president of Milipol Qatar Committee. “Milipol Qatar 2018 brings together the leading international figures in civil defence to demonstrate the latest smart solutions to assist with civil defence and discuss latest trends and best practice.

“We are looking forward to an interesting three days. This event will further cement Qatar’s position as a premier destination for hosting world-class agenda-setting conferences.”

To date, exhibitors specialising in civil defence that have confirmed their participation in Milipol Qatar 2018 include Qatar Factory for Firefighting Equipment & Safety Systems (Naffco), Consolidated Engineering Systems Co (Cesco) and International Gulf Trading Company – Chubb Fire from Qatar; China Pioneer from China, Haix Schuhe and Uniform Brands GmbH from Germany; and Turbosan from Turkey.

Milipol Qatar 2018 is a trade-only event, open exclusively to defence and security industry specialists and professionals. The exhibition will be open from 9.30am to 5pm on October 29 and 30, and from 9.30am to 4pm on October 31.

تشهد الدوحة خلال الفترة بين 29-31 أكتوبر المقبل، انعقاد معرض «ميليبول قطر2018» في «مركز الدوحة للمعارض والمؤتمرات»، تحت الرعاية الكريمة لحضرة صاحب السمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني أمير البلاد المفدى.

ومن المتوقع أن تساهم الدورة الـ 12 من معرض «ميليبول قطر»، في التأكيد على أهمية قطاع الدفاع المدني في حماية السكان وتعزيز السلامة العامة، انطلاقاً من مكانة المعرض، كأهم فعالية في مجال الأمن الداخلي والدفاع المدني على مستوى منطقة الشرق الأوسط.

ويضمّ «ميليبول قطر 2018» معرض ومؤتمر الدفاع المدني، انسجاماً مع الجهود الرامية إلى تطوير المعرض، وتقديم تجارب غير مسبوقة للعارضين والزوار والمشترين ومتخصصي القطاع، فضلاً عن توفير منصة فريدة تجمع بين صنّاع القرار والمتخصصين بمجال الدفاع والأمن.

ويوفر «ميليبول قطر 2018» -الذي تنظّمه وزارة الداخلية بالتعاون مع شركة «كوميكسبوزيوم سكيوريتي» الفرنسية- منصة مثالية تتيح للمشاركين التواصل وإبرام الصفقات المجزية، والمساهمة في ضمان مستقبل أفضل وأكثر أماناً للجميع، فضلاً عن إفساح المجال أمام الشركات من أجل استعراض أفضل الحلول والمنتجات، ومناقشة أهمية السلامة والأمن بالنسبة لسكان العالم.

من جهته، قال العميد ناصر بن فهد آل ثاني رئيس لجنة «ميليبول قطر»: «اتخذت وزارة الداخلية خطوات مهمة لضمان توظيف أحدث أنظمة الدفاع المدني العالمية في دولة قطر، كما تواصل الوزارة رفع مستوى الوعي حول السلامة العامة، عبر تنظيم سلسلة من المؤتمرات الرائدة والمعارض والمحاضرات وبرامج التوعية والتدريب».

وأضاف: يشهد «ميليبول قطر 2018» حضور كوكبة من الشخصيات الدولية المتخصصة بالدفاع المدني، والذين يسلّطون الضوء على أحدث الحلول والمنتجات الذكية ذات الصلة بمجالات الدفاع المدني، بالإضافة إلى مناقشة أحدث الاتجاهات وأفضل الممارسات في القطاع، وأضاف: نتطلّع قدماً إلى تنظيم معرض متميز وناجح، للتأكيد على أن دولة قطر كانت وستبقى مقصداً رئيسياً للمعارض والمؤتمرات الدولية رفيعة المستوى».

أكدت عدة شركات متخصصة بمجالات الدفاع المدني رسمياً مشاركتها في «ميليبول قطر 2018» حتى الآن، ومن ضمنها شركة «نافكو» الرائدة عالمياً في إنتاج وتوريد معدات مكافحة الحريق، وشركة نظام الهندسة المتكامل «CESCO»، وشركة الخليج العالمية للتجارة – «تشب فير قطر» من قطر، و«China Pioneer» من الصين، «Haix Schuhe»، وملابس الوقاية الموحدة «GMBH» من ألمانيا، و«Turbosan» من تركيا.

ويعتبر «ميليبول قطر 2018» معرضاً تجارياً متاحاً أمام الخبراء والمتخصصين بمجال الدفاع والأمن، وسوف يفتح أبوابه يومي الاثنين والثلاثاء «29 و30 أكتوبر» من الساعة 9:30 صباحاً حتى 5:00 عصراً، ويوم الأربعاء 31 أكتوبر من الساعة 9:30 صباحاً إلى 4:00 عصراً.;
