Qatar Team to Participate in Artistic Gymnastics World Cup

Doha: The Qatari national team will participate in the Men’s and Women’s Artistic Gymnastics World Cup, scheduled to be hosted by Egypt from 17-20 March, with the participation of 281 men and women players representing 35 countries.

The Qatari football team’s delegation, which will include player Rakan Al Harith, Coach Oleg Anderchec and Physiotherapist Issam Abu odeh, will leave on Tuesday to Cairo to participate in the competition.

Rakan Al Harith has completed his preparations to participate in the championship under the supervision of the Qatari Gymnastics Federation.

For her part, Abeer Al Buainain, Secretary-General of the Qatar Gymnastics Federation and head of the technical committee, confirmed that player Rakan Al-Harith prepared well for the tournament through his participation in the World Cup of Artistic Gymnastics hosted by Doha during the period from 2 to 5 March, as well as the training camp for two morning and evening shifts.

She added: “The Technical Committee of the Federation conducted a technical test on March 10 to determine the extent of Rakan’s readiness to compete in the tournament, which is expected to witness strong competition between the participating countries.

Al Buainain explained that the Qatar Gymnastics Federation is keen to provide the best capabilities to prepare the team’s players for various tournaments, as well as continuous moral support, which contributed to our teams achieving good results in previous tournaments at the Arab, Asian and international levels.

She pointed out that the tournament is considered one of the valuable opportunities that add more international experience to the players as a result of the strong friction.

Meanwhile, the Egyptian Gymnastics Federation will hold a press conference tomorrow in Cairo to announce the details of the tournament.

الدوحة: يشارك المنتخب القطري في بطولة كأس العالم للجمباز الفني رجال وسيدات التي تستضيفها مصر خلال الفترة من 17 إلى 20 مارس الحالي، بمشاركة 281 لاعبا ولاعبة يمثلون 35 دولة.

وستغادر بعثة المنتخب القطري اليوم /الثلاثاء/ إلى القاهرة وتضم اللاعب راكان الحارث والمدرب أوليج أندرشيك، وعصام أبوعودة أخصائي العلاج الطبيعي.

وأكمل راكان الحارث استعداداته للمشاركة في البطولة بإشراف اللجنة الفنية بالاتحاد القطري للجمباز.

من جانبها، أكدت عبير البوعينين أمين السر العام للاتحاد القطري للجمباز، ورئيس اللجنة الفنية أن اللاعب راكان الحارث استعد جيدا للبطولة من خلال مشاركته في بطولة كأس العالم للجمباز الفني التي استضافتها الدوحة خلال الفترة من 2 إلى 5 مارس الحالي، وأيضا المعسكر التدريبي على فترتين صباحية ومسائية.

وأضافت: “اللجنة الفنية بالاتحاد أجرت اختبارا فنيا بتاريخ 10 من مارس الجاري للوقوف على مدى جاهزية راكان لخوض منافسات البطولة التي من المتوقع أن تشهد منافسة قويه بين الدول المشاركة فيها.

وأوضحت أن الاتحاد القطري للجمباز يحرص على توفير أفضل الإمكانيات لإعداد لاعبي المنتخب للبطولات المختلفة فضلا عن الدعم المعنوي المتواصل والذي ساهم في أن تحقق منتخباتنا نتائج طيبة في بطولات سابقة على المستويين العربي والآسيوي وكذلك الدولي.

وأشارت إلى أن البطولة تعتبر من الفرص الثمينة التي تضيف المزيد من الخبرة الدولية للاعبين نتيجة الاحتكاك القوي.

من جانب آخر، يعقد الاتحاد المصري للجمباز مؤتمرا صحفيا يوم غد /الأربعاء/، بالقاهرة للإعلان عن تفاصيل البطولة.
