Qatar Charity distributes over 45,000 food baskets in Industrial Area

Over 45,000 food baskets have been distributed by Qatar Charity among workers who are quarantined in Industrial Area Streets 1 to 32.
“Since the closure of the area, Qatar Charity has distributed many food aids to workers, and until now over 45,000 food baskets have been distributed among them.
“In addition to the food baskets that are distributed daily among the workers, personal hygiene items have also been distributed, such as soap, sanitisers etc. Qatar Charity has distributed more than 30,000 personal hygiene packages among workers,” said a Rami, a Qatar Charity official.
During a field trip for media persons and community leaders to the area which was organised by the Ministry of Interior on Saturday, Qatar Charity official said they were distributing 1,000 food baskets daily through four trucks entering the area.
Rami further said: “Qatar Charity, even during the distribution of food items is keen on the safety of workers, as everyone is committed to the social distancing.”
Regarding Ramadan programme, he said that the aid will continue even in Ramadan in coordination with other entities.
He added that Qatar Charity’s efforts are not only limited to the Industrial Area but also in other areas like Al Shahaniya and others for the benefit of all workers.

تم توزيع أكثر من 45,000 سلة غذائية من قبل مؤسسة قطر الخيرية على العمال الذين يقضون الحجر الصحي في شوارع المنطقة الصناعية من 1 إلى 32.
“منذ إغلاق المنطقة، قامت مؤسسة قطر الخيرية بتوزيع العديد من المساعدات الغذائية على العمال، وحتى الآن تم توزيع أكثر من 45,000 سلة غذائية عليهم.
قال (أ رامي)، المسؤول في جمعية قطر الخيرية “بالإضافة إلى السلال الغذائية التي توزع يومياً بين العمال، تم أيضاً توزيع مواد النظافة الشخصية، مثل الصابون والمعقمات الخ. وقد وزعت جمعية قطر الخيرية أكثر من 30 ألف حزمة نظافة شخصية على العمال”.
وخلال رحلة ميدانية للإعلاميين وقادة المجتمع إلى المنطقة نظمتها وزارة الداخلية يوم السبت، قال مسؤول في مؤسسة قطر الخيرية إنهم يوزعون 1000 سلة غذائية يومياً من خلال أربع شاحنات تدخل المنطقة.
وقال رامي: “تحرص مؤسسة قطر الخيرية، حتى أثناء توزيع المواد الغذائية، على سلامة العمال، حيث يلتزم الجميع بالتباعد الاجتماعي”.
وفيما يتعلق ببرنامج رمضان، قال إن المساعدات ستستمر حتى في شهر رمضان بالتنسيق مع جهات أخرى.
وأضاف أن جهود مؤسسة قطر الخيرية لا تقتصر على المنطقة الصناعية فحسب، بل تشمل أيضاً مناطق أخرى مثل (الشحانية) وغيرها لصالح جميع العاملين.
