Qatar Airways participates in biggest evacuation plan in Kuwait’s history

As of this week, the sister state of Kuwait is implementing the largest evacuation plan for its nationals from several countries in the world, in what a Kuwaiti official described as the largest evacuation in Kuwait’s history.

The plan includes the repatriation of 40,000 citizens on 188 flights from April 16th to April 25th, the official said in statements published by Kuwait’s Al-Qabas newspaper.

The source said that it was agreed with Kuwait Airways, Al Jazeera Airways and Qatar Airways to manage the evacuation of citizens from abroad.

تنفذ دولة الكويت الشقيقة اعتباراً من هذا الأسبوع أضخم خطة إجلاء لرعاياها من عدة دول في العالم في عملية وصفها مسؤول كويتي بأنها أكبر عملية إجلاء في تاريخ الكويت.

وكشف المسؤول في تصريحات نشرتها صحيفة القبس الكويتية أن الخطة تتضمن إعادة 40 ألف مواطن إلى أرض الوطن،  على متن 188 رحلة جوية تبدأ من 16 حتى 25 أبريل الجاري.

وقال المصدر إنه تم الاتفاق مع شركة الخطوط الجوية الكويتية وشركة طيران الجزيرة وشركة الخطوط الجوية القطرية لإدارة عملية إجلاء المواطنين من الخارج.
