Doha: The State of Qatar will participate in the Expo 2020 in Dubai, taking place from Oct.1, 2021 to March 31, 2022, under the slogan “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future.”
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry said in a statement Tuesday that the State of Qatar’s pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai was organized under the slogan “QATAR. THE FUTURE IS NOW” which translates the sub-themes of the main slogan of this international event in the areas of sustainability and communication, as the country’s pavilion in the exhibition reflects the pioneering position of the State of Qatar in leading change, in light of its vision and successful experiences in facing and overcoming various challenges and global changes, including the COVID-19 pandemic.
Additionally, Qatar aims during its participation in the Expo 2020 Dubai to preview its efforts to lead and stimulate innovation in the fields of science and technology in a way that supports future sustainable development in the State. It also seeks to highlight its initiatives that stimulate creativity by supporting and endorsing artistic and cultural works that would buttress bridges of communication between all countries worldwide.
It also seeks to consolidate its role as a safe and leading global hub for tourism and business, and shed light on national efforts to preserve the country’s resources by investing in sustainable development and environmental protection, and constructing green buildings to support the growth of human capital.
In this regard, Commissioner-General and Chairman of the Preparation Committee for the State of Qatars participation in Expo 2020 Dubai Nasser bin Mohammed Al Muhannadi, shed light on the events and activities planned to take place in Qatars pavilion, noting that they will focus on the countrys march towards achieving its national vision QNV 2030 goals.
The pavilion will also shine a spotlight on the pioneering mega projects that have been completed to host the FIFA World Cup 2022, in addition to previewing the incentives and investment opportunities provided by Qatar to implement its economic diversification plans, as per the determinants of the National Development Strategy 2018- 2022.
He added that Qatar’s pavilion also highlights a number of important areas, including: heritage, geography and culture, art, science and technology through creative incentives, communication, transportation and exploration, environment and urban development, biodiversity, natural resources, governance and investment in human capital, education, youth employment, community well-being, industrial transformations, pioneering change and green economy initiatives and innovation and development. الدوحة: تشارك دولة قطر في معرض /إكسبو 2020 دبي/ الذي يقام خلال الفترة من 1 أكتوبر 2021 إلى 31 مارس 2022، وذلك تحت شعار: /تواصل العقول.. وصنع المستقبل/.
وأوضحت وزارة التجارة والصناعة في بيان، اليوم ، أنه تم تنظيم جناح دولة قطر في معرض إكسبو 2020 دبي تحت شعار /قطر: المستقبل هو الآن QATAR. THE FUTURE IS NOW/، وذلك بما يترجم المحاور الفرعية للشعار الرئيسي لهذا الحدث الدولي في مجالات الاستدامة والتواصل، حيث يعكس جناح الدولة في المعرض المكانة الرائدة لدولة قطر في قيادة التغيير وذلك في ضوء رؤيتها وتجاربها الناجحة في مواجهة وتجاوز مختلف التحديات والمتغيرات العالمية ومن بينها جائحة كورونا /كوفيدـ19/.
إلى جانب ذلك تهدف الدولة من خلال مشاركتها في معرض إكسبو 2020 دبي لاستعراض جهودها في سبيل قيادة وتحفيز الابتكار في مجالات العلوم والتكنولوجيا بما يدعم التنمية المستدامة للدولة في المستقبل، وتسليط الضوء على مبادراتها المحفزة على الإبداع من خلال دعم وتبني الأعمال الفنية والثقافية التي من شأنها أن تعزز جسور التواصل بين كافة دول العالم.
كما تسعى إلى ترسيخ دورها كمحور عالمي آمن ورائد للسياحة والأعمال، وإلقاء الضوء على الجهود الوطنية الرامية للحفاظ على موارد الدولة من خلال الاستثمار في التنمية المستدامة وحماية البيئة، وتشييد المباني الخضراء بما يدعم نمو رأس المال البشري.
وفي هذا الصدد، أوضح السيد ناصر محمد المهندي، المفوض العام ورئيس لجنة الإعداد والتحضير لمشاركة دولة قطر في معرض /إكسبو 2020 دبي/، أن الفعاليات والأنشطة التي سيتم تنظيمها في جناح دولة قطر، والتي تلقي الضوء على مسيرة الدولة نحو تحقيق رؤيتها الوطنية للعام 2030، والمشاريع الضخمة والرائدة التي تم استكمالها لاستضافة فعاليات كأس العالم لكرة القدم /قطر 2022/، فضلا عن استعراض الحوافز والفرص الاستثمارية التي توفرها الدولة لتنفيذ خططها الرامية لتحقيق التنوع الاقتصادي وفق محددات استراتيجية التنمية الوطنية 2018- 2022.
وأضاف أن جناح قطر يسلط الضوء أيضا على عدد من المجالات الهامة ومن بينها: التراث والجغرافيا والثقافة، والفن والعلوم والتكنولوجيا عبر المحفزات الإبداعية، والاتصال والنقل والاستكشاف، والبيئة والتطور العمراني، والتنوع البيولوجي، والموارد الطبيعية، والحوكمة والاستثمار في رأس المال البشري، والتعليم، وتشغيل الشباب، ورفاهية المجتمع، والتحولات الصناعية، ومبادرات ريادة التغيير والاقتصاد الأخضر، والابتكار والتطوير.
