Working hours for the local product yards during the Eid holiday

Doha: Mr. Abdul Rahman Al-Sulaiti, the general supervisor of the yards of selling the local agricultural product, announced that the five squares in Al Mazroa, Al Wakra, Al Khor, Al Thakhira, Al Sheehaniya and Al Shamal will cease to operate during the Eid Al-Fitr holiday, provided that the squares will resume their work after the holiday on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays every week.
Al-Sulaiti said in remarks to Al-Raya that the working hours after Eid al-Fitr will start from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m., to allow consumers to buy their needs during the evening period, with the squares continuing to operate during the evening period until the end of the agricultural season.
He stressed the continued commitment to precautionary measures while shopping in the squares by examining the “Ehteraz” application and measuring the temperature of consumers and workers in the squares, as well as the mandatory wearing of masks to enter, whether for farmers, workers or consumers, noting the ministry’s keenness to operate squares during the holy month of Ramadan for the second year in a row, in order to market vegetables and local products to retailers and consumers.
He pointed out the advantages offered by the squares to farm owners, namely the lack of any fees and the absence of a broker between farms and the consumer, which contributed significantly to the decline in the prices of exhibits in the five squares by 3 to 7 riyals per fund, i.e. a decrease of between 20% and 40% from the daily bulletin of the Consumer Protection List.
He stressed the success of the experience of squares by all measures during the past years and characterized by the best outlet for selling local vegetables year after year, as the vegetables displayed inside the squares are characterized by high quality in the light of an advanced marketing method sought by the ministry to spread it among farms, a method that ensures access to good products at appropriate prices, and the products are classified so that the consumer is aware of the degree to which he buys and at a lower price than the counterparts in the market.

الدوحة: أعلن السيد عبدالرحمن السليطي، المُشرف العام على ساحات بيع المُنتج الزراعي المحلي، توقف عمل الساحات الخمس في المزروعة والوكرة والخور والذخيرة والشيحانية والشمال خلال عطلة عيد الفطر المبارك، على أن تعاود الساحات عملها بعد الإجازة خلال أيام الخميس والجمعة والسبت من كل أسبوع.
وأوضح السليطي، في تصريحات لـ الراية أن ساعات العمل بعد إجازة عيد الفطر المُبارك ستبدأ من السادسة والنصف وحتى العاشرة والنصف مساءً، وذلك لإتاحة الفرصة للمُستهلكين لشراء احتياجاتهم خلال الفترة المسائية، على أن يستمر عمل الساحات خلال الفترة المسائية حتى نهاية الموسم الزراعي.
وشدّد على استمرار الالتزام بالإجراءات الاحترازية أثناء التسوق بالساحات من خلال فحص تطبيق «احتراز» وقياس درجة حرارة المُستهلكين والعاملين بالساحات، فضلًا عن إلزامية ارتداء الكمامة للدخول سواء للمزارعين أو العمّال أو المُستهلكين، منوهًا بحرص الوزارة على عمل الساحات خلال شهر رمضان المبارك للعام الثاني على التوالي، وذلك لتسويق الخضراوات والمُنتجات المحلية لتجّار التجزئة والمُستهلكين.
وأشار إلى ما تقدمه الساحات من مُميزات لأصحاب المزارع، تتمثل في عدم تحصيل أي رسوم وعدم وجود وسيط بين المُزارع والمُستهلك، ما ساهم بشكل كبير في انخفاض أسعار المعروضات في الساحات الخمس بمعدل 3 إلى 7 ريالات في الصندوق الواحد، أي بمعدل انخفاض يتراوح بين 20% و40% عن النشرة اليومية الخاصة بقائمة حماية المُستهلك.
وأكد نجاح تجربة الساحات بكل المقاييس خلال السنوات الماضية وتميزها كأفضل منفذ لبيع الخضراوات المحلية عامًا بعد عام، حيث إن الخضراوات المعروضة داخل الساحات تتميز بالجودة العالية في ظل اتباع أسلوب تسويقي مُتقدم سعت الوزارة لنشره بين المزارع، وهو أسلوب يضمن الحصول على مُنتجات جيدة بأسعار مُناسبة، كما أنه يتم تصنيف المُنتجات لكي يكون المُستهلك على علم بالدرجة التي يشتريها وبسعر أقل من مثيلاتها في السوق.
