Qatar’s students win seven medals in Muscat olympiad

Doha: Qatar’s students won seven medals including three silver and one bronze at the third Gulf Physics Olympiad, and two gold and one silver in the Arabic language debates at the Olympics, as part of the Olympiad hosted by the Omani capital, Muscat, from October 6 to 10.
Moza Al Madhaka, Director of the Educational Guidance Department at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, praised the outstanding results of the students of the State of Qatar, which reflects the efforts exerted by the Ministry in preparing students and qualifying them to win and achieve honourable results in prestigious competitions, as well as the quality of learning outcomes in the country.
She congratulated the students on their honourable scientific achievement which demonstrates the interest of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in enabling students to learn Arabic skills, physics, mathematics and all activities that reveal students’ literary talents and abilities and contribute to their development and investment as well as its keenness on discovering talented students in all subjects, enhancing their self-confidence and their abilities, talents and creativity, and directing them to invest and develop their abilities, besides enhancing areas of communication between them, which develops their abilities, and makes them able to contribute to global achievements.
She said that this Olympiad came within the framework of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States to raise the level of scientific competition among the students of the member States to create a catalytic environment for this, and to implement its multiple programs in this area.
حصد طلبة دولة قطر 7 ميداليات، منها ثلاث فضيات وواحدة برونزية في أولمبياد الفيزياء الخليجي الثالث، وذهبيتان وأخرى فضية في مناظرات اللغة العربية ضمن فعاليات الأولمبياد، التي استضافت منافساتها العاصمة العمانية مسقط خلال الفترة من 6 إلى 10 أكتوبر الجاري.
ونوهت السيدة موزة المضاحكة مدير إدارة التوجيه التربوي بوزارة التعليم والتعليم العالي، بنتائج طلبة دولة قطر المميزة والتي تعكس الجهود التي تبذلها الوزارة في إعداد الطلبة وتأهيلهم للفوز وإحراز نتائج مشرفة في المسابقات المرموقة، فضلا عن كونها تؤكد كذلك جودة مخرجات التعلم بالدولة.
وهنأت الطلبة على إنجازهم العلمي المشرف الذي يدل على اهتمام وزارة التعليم والتعليم العالي بتمكين الطلبة من مهارات اللغة العربية والفيزياء والرياضيات وكافة الأنشطة التي تكشف مواهب وقدرات الطلاب الأدبية وتسهم في تنميتها واستثمارها، وحرصها على اكتشاف الطلبة الموهوبين في جميع المواد وتعزيز ثقتهم بأنفسهم وبما يملكونه من قدرات ومواهب وإبداعات، وتوجيههم لاستثمار قدراتهم وتطويرها، وكذلك تعزيز مجالات التواصل بينهم، بما ينمي قدراتهم، ويجعلهم قادرين على الإسهام في تحقيق إنجازات عالمية.
وأوضحت أن هذا الأولمبياد جاء في إطار سعي مكتب التربية العربي لدول الخليج لرفع مستوى التنافس العلمي بين طلبة الدول الأعضاء بالمكتب وتهيئة البيئة المحفزة لذلك، وتنفيذا لبرامجه المتعددة في هذا المجال.
