206 public school directors attend evaluation programme

Doha: The Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, Dr Ibrahim Al Naimi, has stressed on the importance of holding the first training programme on the ‘performance evaluation management’ for the directors of public education schools in the state.

The 3-week programme, organised by the Center for Educational Development and Training in cooperation with DI, witnessed the participation of 206 public school directors. It aims to provide participants with a range of skills and experience that allows them to adopt the latest techniques and methodologies in the field of international performance assessment, training and practical application on a number of modern global standards adopted in the area of performance appraisal.

He explained that the training program comes in the context of the difficulties facing the issue of evaluating the performance of teachers and complaints reaching the ministry regarding school administrations.
In a speech at the end of the program, Al Naimi said that the evaluation is not personal desires and individual impressions, but science based on real and organized pillars, calling for the need to develop concepts in the issue of performance evaluation. He praised the directors of schools as the real bond of the ministry.

Dr. Farid Elsahn, Director of Excellence Center for Executive Education at Doha Institute for Graduate Studies (DI) and Hessa Al Ali, Direct of Training and Educational Development Center at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education stressed the importance of the program, taking into account the needs of the trainees and transforming the performance evaluation process from judgments to a sustainable process.

قال سعادة الدكتور إبراهيم النعيمي، وكيل وزارة التعليم والتعليم العالي إن أهمية عقد البرنامج التدريبي الأول حول “إدارة تقييم الأداء” لمديري مدارس التعليم العام ” الحكومية ” بالدولة تأتي في سياق الصعوبات التي تواجه مسألة تقييم أداء المدرسين، والشكاوى التي تصل الوزارة فيما يتعلق بإدارات المدارس .

ونوه النعيمي في كلمة له في ختام البرنامج إلى أن إدارة التقييم ليست أهواء شخصية ، وانطباعات فردية ، وإنما هي علم يقوم على ركائز حقيقية ومنظمة، داعياً إلى ضرورة تطوير المفاهيم في قضية تقييم الأداء ، مشيدا بمديري المدارس باعتبارهم السند الحقيقي للوزارة ، التي عليها في المقابل تسيير الأمور التي تساعدهم على الإنجاز.

تحدث في حفل الختام الدكتور فريد الصحن مدير مركز الامتياز للتعليم التنفيذي بمعهد الدوحة للدراسات العليا والسيدة حصة العالي، مديرة مركز التدريب والتطوير التربوي بوزارة التعليم والتعليم العالي حول أهمية البرنامج ونجاحه وتصميمه بشكل راعى احتياجات المتدربين وتحويل عملية تقييم الأداء الوظيفي، من إصدار الأحكام إلى عملية مستدامة .

هدف البرنامج الذي استمر لمدة 3 أسابيع بمشاركة 206 من مديري المدارس الحكومية ، ونظمه مركز التطوير والتدريب التربوي بالتعاون مع معهد الدوحة للدراسات العليا ، إلى إكساب المشاركين مجموعة من المهارات والخبرات التي تسمح لهم بانتهاج أحدث التقنيات والمنهجيات المعتمدة في مجال تقييم الأداء دوليًا، والتدريب والتطبيق العملي على عدد من المقاييس العالمية الحديثة المعتمدة في مجال تقييم الأداء، واستعراض أهم التجارب العالمية في هذا المجال.

كما هدف إلى تقييم الأداء الوظيفي من خلال قياس السلوكيات الوظيفية في محيط العمل وتطوير أداء الموظفين لرفع الكفاءة الإنتاجية في المدرسة، وكذلك تحقيق أهداف إدارة تقييم الأداء ، مثل الإدارية منها والتوجيه والإرشاد والبحث العلمي ،

إضافة للمساهمة في تحقيق الأهداف التربوية وفقًا لرؤية قطر الوطنية 2030 من خلال تطبيق النظم الحديثة في عملية إدارة تقييم الأداء المؤسسي.
