تشرف «وقود» حالياً على تنفيذ 28 محطة وقود جديد
Doha: Qatar Fuel (Woqod) is currently working on 28 petrol station projects around the country and most of them are expected to be operational this year.
Woqod’s Chief Executive Officer Saad Rashid Al Muhannadi, said on the margins of the opening of new Al Thumama service station on Tuesday.
“We are pleased to open this new station in Al Thumama to provide basic services to the community. The new opening reflects our ambitious plans to expand our network and accessibility within Qatar, in order to cater to the growing needs of the local market and ensure that high quality products and services are available to all our customers at their convenience across the country,” he said.
As part of the company’s ongoing expansion plans to serve all areas in the country, Woqod opened today its 61nd service station in Al Thumama area.
With the addition of Al Thumama petrol station, the company’s branded stations network increased to 49. The new station is spread over an area of 12,313 square meters. It will offer round-the-clock services including Sidra convenience store, sale of LPG cylinders, auto wash facility, auto repair, tire services, and sale of LPG cylinders, gasoline and diesel products as well as special lanes for fueling trucks using high speed dispensers.
Al Thumama station is also equipped with Woqod’s unique RFID based electronic payment service (WOQODe).
Woqod’s expansion strategy seeks to increase the total number of service stations operated by the company to 100 by 2020.
افتتحت شركة قطر للوقود «وقود»، محطة بترول جديدة في منطقة الثمامة، ليصل عدد محطاتها الإجمالي إلى 61 محطة. وتأتي الخطوة في إطار خطة الشركة الاستراتيجية التي تركز على توسيع شبكة محطاتها، وخدمة معظم مناطق الدولة.
وقال المهندس سعد راشد المهندي، الرئيس التنفيذي للشركة: «إن الافتتاح الجديد يترجم خططنا الطموحة إلى توسيع شبكة محطاتنا، وتسهيل الوصول إليها، كما يهدف إلى تلبية الطلب المتزايد في السوق المحلي».
وتشرف «وقود» حالياً على تنفيذ 28 محطة وقود جديدة، من المتوقع أن يتم تشغيل معظمها خلال العام الحالي. وبتشغيل محطة الثمامة، ارتفع عدد المحطات الثابتة في شبكة «وقود» إلى 49 محطة. تبلغ مساحة المحطة 12.313 متراً.
وتقدم المحطة لعملائها خدمات على مدار الساعة.
وتطمح خطة وقود الاستراتيجية التوسعية إلى زيادة العدد الإجمالي للمحطات المشغلة، حتى يصل إلى 100 محطة بحلول عام 2020.;
