MoPH reports 761 new confirmed cases of coronavirus

Ministry of Public Health today announced the registration of 761 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and the recovery of 59 cases, bringing the total number of recovered cases in Qatar to 809.

Most of the new cases are for expatriate workers most of who have been subject to quarantine, after it was found that they were in contact with confirmed cases.

All new infected cases have been put into isolation and are receiving the necessary medical care.

With the registration of 59 new recovered cases, the total number people to have recovered from COVID-19 in the State of Qatar is 809.

The total number of positive COVID-19 cases recorded in Qatar till now stands at 8525 and there are 7706 active cases under treatment. So far, 10 people had died from the coronavirus in Qatar. Ministry conducted 2431 tests in last 24 hours taking the total tests done so far to 75888 tests.

The Ministry of Public Health stated that the recent increase in the number of confirmed new cases of coronavirus is due to several reasons, including that the spread of the virus has begun to enter the peak stage (i.e. the highest wave that affects the country), which may continue to increase for a period of time before it begins to decline.

It is also due to the increase in the efforts of the Ministry and its medical teams to track the transmission chains of coronavirus and expand the surveillance process, including of groups of contacts with people who were previously diagnosed with the disease. All of this has contributed to the early detection of many cases of infection and reduced the spread of the virus.

The Ministry of Public Health requests all members of society to stay at home and cooperate fully with all health guidelines and preventive measures to reduce the risk of infection, including sticking to social and physical distancing guidelines. أعلنت وزارة الصحة العامة، اليوم، عن تسجيل 761 حالة إصابة جديدة مؤكدة بفيروس كورونا (كوفيد – 19)، وشفاء 59 حالة من المرض.

وأوضحت الوزارة، في بيان لها، أن معظم الحالات الجديدة المسجلة تعود لعدد من العمالة الوافدة التي تعمل في مهن مختلفة والتي كانت مخالطة لحالات سابقة مكتشفة بالإضافة لتسجيل حالات إصابة جديدة بالفيروس بين مجموعات من العمالة من خارج المناطق الصناعية وذلك خلال إجراء فحوصات استقصائية من قبل فرق البحث والتقصي التابعة لوزارة الصحة الأمر الذي أسهم في الكشف المبكر عن الحالات.

وتعود باقي الحالات الجديدة المصابة بفيروس (كوفيد – 19) لمواطنين ومقيمين كانوا قد خالطوا مصابين بالفيروس من أفراد أسرهم الذين بدورهم كان قد أصابهم الفيروس من خلال أماكن عملهم أو أماكن أخرى بسبب تعرضهم لأشخاص مصابين.

وقد تم إدخال الحالات المصابة الجديدة للعزل الصحي التام لتلقي الرعاية الطبية اللازمة.

ولفتت وزارة الصحة إلى أنه بتسجيل 59 حالة جديدة تماثلت للشفاء، يصل إجمالي عدد حالات الشفاء من فيروس كورونا في دولة قطر إلى 809 حالات.

وذكرت الوزارة أن الارتفاع الملحوظ لعدد حالات الإصابة الجديدة المؤكدة بفيروس كورونا يرجع لعدة أسباب منها أن انتشار الفيروس قد بدأ بالدخول في مرحلة الذروة حيث من المتوقع أن تستمر الأعداد في الزيادة قبل أن تبدأ في الانخفاض التدريجي، إضافة إلـى أن الوزارة قد ضاعفت جهودها في تتبع السلاسل الانتقالية لفيروس كورونا وتوسيع دائرة البحث عن المصابين عبر إجراء فحوصات مكثفة واستباقية لمجموعات من المخالطين للأشخاص الذين تم التأكد من إصابتهم بالمرض سابقا، الأمر الذي أسهم في الكشف المبكر عن العديد من حالات الإصابة والحد من تفشي الفيروس بشكل أكبر.

ودعت وزارة الصحة العامة جميع أفراد المجتمع إلى ضرورة البقاء في المنزل وعدم الخروج إلا في حالات الضرورة والحرص التام على تطبيق الإجراءات الوقائية والمحافظة على البعد الاجتماعي والمسافة الآمنة من الآخرين بما في ذلك في مكان العمل والأماكن العامة واستخدام القناع الطبي وتجنب الزيارات الاجتماعية للتقليل من احتمال إصابتهم بالفيروس.

كما أوصت بزيارة صفحتها الإلكترونية بشكل منتظم للاطلاع على آخر المعلومات والإرشادات المتعلقة بفيروس (كوفيد -19 ).
