Subsidised sheep and reduced food prices during Ramadan

DOHA: The Ministry of Economy and Commerce said yesterday that it will launch a number of initiatives during Ramadan as part of its keenness to carry out its duty towards the community and make it easier for the citizens and residents to get their needs during the holy month.
The initiatives cover the Ministry’s activities on organisation, support and stimulation such as subsidised sheep, reduced prices on consumer goods and other vital initiatives that fit Ramadan. In addition, the ministry will hold intensive and surprise inspection campaigns before and during Ramadan and before and during Eid Al Fitr. The Ministry will also organise a number of awareness programs on various consumer and commercial issues as well as a number of
initiatives related to regulating the markets and stimulating business sectors.
The Ministry will announce details of every initiative when they are launched during Ramadan. The Ministry has advised residents to follow its social media channels under the handle MEC_QATAR, and to subscribe to its WhatsApp service on 66111400. The ministry will use these channels to announce Ramadan initiatives.
بمناسبة حلول شهر رمضان المبارك، أطلقت وزارة الاقتصاد والتجارة مبادرة دعم الأغنام للمواطنين والتي تقوم بها شركة ودام الغذائية، حيث تبدأ من تاريخ 27 شعبان الموافق 13 مايو الجاري، وحتى نهاية شهر رمضان المبارك.
ووفق “ودام” فإن كمية الخراف الماتحة من خلال المبادرة هي 20 ألف رأس من الأغنام سورية المنشأ (950 ريالاً للرأس)، و 5000 من الأغنام إيرانية المنشأ (650 ريالاً للرأس)،و 5000 خروف محلي من إنتاج العزب القطرية (1050 ريال للرأس).
وتتوافر الأغنام طوال أيام المبادرة من الساعة الخامسة صباحاً وحتى الرابعة مساء في عدة مواقع هي: “مقصب الأهالي، ومقصب أم صلال، ومقصب المزروعة، ومقصب الخور، ومقصب الشمال، ومقصب الشيحانية”
ويشترط على المستفيدين من المبادرة أن تتم عملية الذبح لضمان وصول الخراف للفئة المستهدفة، كما تشمل المبادرة على توزيع عدد 2 خروف لكل بطاقة شخصية.
ويمكن الحصول على الخراف المدعمة من خلال زيارة أحد المقاصب أو من خلال الاتصال على الرقم المجاني 8000056 ، أو من خلال تطبيق ودام على الهواتف الذكية.
