Needy private school students to get free computers
طلاب المدارس الخاصة المحتاجون يحصلون على أجهزة كمبيوتر مجانية

In a welcome news, the private education sector of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education has launched an initiative to support students from needy families to enable them carry on with the distance education system.
The initiative, which was launched in cooperation with the Qatar Charity, focuses on providing students from needy families with computers to enable them to follow the e-learning system (distance education).
The distance education system was approved by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in March as one of the preventive measures to limit the spread of the COVID-19 and ensure safety of students and teachers.
The private education sector of the ministry has directed private schools to prepare lists of the names of needy students, in coordination with school administrations to ensure that all eligible students have access to computers.
The case of each student’s family will be examined individually as per the data provided by the schools.
So far, computers have been distributed to needy students in two private schools. More devices will be distributed to the needy students in the other private schools soon.
The mechanism for distributing devices to students is being determined in coordination with schools. The device is being handed over to parents — one device for each needy family so that the initiative covers the largest possible number of students.
This comes at a time when the Department of Private Schools Affairs in the private education sector follows up the progress of the educational process remotely to ensure proper implementation of the distance education system.
في خبر مرحب به، أطلق قطاع التعليم الخاص التابع لوزارة التعليم والتعليم العالي مبادرةً لدعم الطلاب من عوائل محتاجة لتمكينهم من المتابعة ضمن نظام التعليم عن بعد.
تركز المبادرة، التي تم إطلاقها بالتعاون مع قطر الخيرية على تقديم أجهزة كمبيوتر للطلاب من عوائل فقيرة لتمكينهم من المتابعة ضمن نظام التعلم الإلكتروني (التعليم عن بعد).
تم إقرار نظام التعليم عن بعد والموافقة عليه من قبل وزارة التعليم والتعليم العالي في شهر مارس كواحد من الإجراءات الاحترازية للحد من انتشار فيروس (كوفيد-19) وضمان سلامة الطلاب والمدرسين.
وجه قطاع التعليم الخاص التابع للوزارة تعليمات للمدارس الخاصة لإعداد لوائح بأسماء الطلاب المحتاجين، بالتنسيق مع إدارة المدرسة للتأكد من حصول جميع الطلاب ذوي الأحقية على أجهزة كمبيوتر. سيتم دراسة حالة كل عائلة من عائلات الطلاب بشكل منفرد تبعاً للبيانات التي توفرها المدارس.
إلى الآن ، تم توزيع أجهزة كمبيوتر على الطلاب المحتاجين ضمن مدرستين من القطاع الخاص. سيتم توزيع المزيد من الأجهزة على الطلاب المحتاجين في المدارس الخاصة الأخرى في وقت قريب. يتم تحديد آلية توزيع الأجهزة على الطلاب بالتنسيق مع المدارس. يتم تسليم الجهاز إلى الأهل — جهاز واحد لكل عائلة محتاجة لكي يكون بوسع المبادرة تغطية أكبر عدد ممكن من الطلاب.
يأتي هذا في وقت تقوم فيه إدارة شؤون المدارس الخاصة التابعة لقطاع التعليم الخاص بالاستمرار بالمضي قدماً بالعملية التعليمية عن بعد لضمان التنفيذ الصحيح لأنظمة التعليم عن بعد.
