Project Qatar 2019 to begin on April 29

DOHA: Project Qatar 2019, the nation’s biggest and longest-established construction event, will take place between April 29 and May 1. The events impact and contribution to the construction industry in Qatar has grown consistently since its launch in 2004, and it is now a mainstay of the international construction industry calendar.
The 2019 edition has been carefully tailored to be aligned with the journey towards the realization of the Qatar National Vision 2030. It will provide a unique platform for global industry players to learn how best to tap into the nations array of construction-related opportunities, as Qatars infrastructural upgrades gain pace.
Running concurrently with the exhibition for the second consecutive year, Project Qatar Conference is set to discuss and explore various aspects of The Future of Construction in Qatar. With keynote addresses by senior representatives of the Public Works Authority (Ashghal) and Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the participation of high-level government speakers, market leaders and specialists, the three-day conference will discuss in depth the following themes: Building Today for The Future Qatar; Iconic Real Estate Developments Towards 2022 FIFA World Cup; Technology and Innovation for The Future of Energy in Qatar; and Qatars Smart Cities Transforming The Future .
The theme for Day 1 is Building Today for The Future Qatar. A series of sessions designed to highlight opportunities available to foreign and local companies in the Qatari market will take place, led by Ashghal, Qatar Financial Centre, and Manateq Economic Zones Company.
The opening session of day 2 is themed Iconic Real Estate Developments Towards 2022 FIFA World Cup, and will feature discussions and presentations relating to some of the nations key infrastructure projects including the Museum of Islamic Art, the 2022 FIFA World Cup projects, and the National Museum of Qatar.
On day 3, the sessions will cover Qatars Smart Cities Transforming The Future, and will highlight the ways in which new cities in Qatar are being planned and built as cities of the future. The session will conclude with a panel discussion featuring representatives from Parsons International, Msheireb Properties, and Qatar Green Building Council.

وستتوزع المواضيع الرئيسية للمؤتمر بين سلسلة من الجلسات التي تم تصميمها لليوم الأول تحت عنوان “ساحة البناء الفريدة في قطر”، والتي تسلط الضوء على الفرص المتاحة أمام الشركات الأجنبية والمحلية ضمن السوق القطري.
وفي اليوم الثاني، ستركز الجلسة الافتتاحية على موضوع “مشاريع التطوير العقاري المميزة نحو كأس العام 2022″، حيث ستتضمن مناقشات وعروضاً تقديمية تتصل بعدد من مشاريع البنية التحتية الرئيسية في الدولة، بما في ذلك متحف الفن الإسلامي، والمشاريع المرتبطة ببطولة كأس العالم لكرة القدم 2022 إلى جانب متحف قطر الوطني،كما ستسلط الجلسات الضوء أيضاً على الفرص العديدة المتاحة أمام المتاحة لشركات المقاولات حتى حلول عام 2022.
وسيكون موضوع “التكنولوجيا والابتكار لمستقبل الطاقة في قطر” محط تركيز الجلسة الثانية من اليوم الثاني، بحيث تشمل محاضرات حول التعديل التحديثي، والطاقة الشمسية، وإدارة المنشآت في صناعة التشييد والبناء.
وفي اليوم الثالث والأخير، ستغطي جلسات المؤتمر موضوع “المدن الذكية في قطر- تحويل المستقبل”، حيث سيتم تسليط الضوء على كيفية التخطيط المعتمد في إنشاء كل من مدينتي لوسيل ومشيرب، كمدينتين للمستقبل.
يشار إلى أن معرض “بروجكت قطر” الذي تنظمه الشركة الدولية للمعارض قطر، قد نجح في التوسع بالحجم والتأثير منذ انطلاقته الأولى عام 2004، حتى بات اليوم بمثابة أحد دعائم صناعة التشييد والبناء على الصعيد المحلي والدولي، وكانت نسخة العام الماضي قد نجحت في استقطاب 1.700 علامة تجارية من 29 دولة من حول العالم.
