Qatar Olympic Committee announces Qatar Virtual Marathon 2020

Qatar Olympic Committee announced today the organization of the first edition of the Qatar Virtual Marathon 2020 next Tuesday, in collaboration with The Advisory House for Financial Advice.

The virtual marathon, which is considered first in the region, includes three categories: the full marathon (42 km), half a marathon (21 km) and the 5 km category. 

The Qatar Virtual Marathon 2020 aims to encourage community members to exercise from their homes during the home quarantine, spread sports culture for better life, raise awareness of the importance of sport and adopt healthy lifestyles globally.

Registration for the marathon has been opened until April 20th, and will be available to all (men and women) from all over the world. 

Those wishing to participate can register and learn the results through the Sporthive live app, which will give participants electronic certificates once the race is finished, and the results of the 2020 Qatar Marathon will be announced via the same app next Wednesday.

 أعلنت اللجنة الأولمبية القطرية اليوم عن تنظيم النسخة الأولى من ماراثون قطر الافتراضي 2020 وذلك يوم الثلاثاء المقبل ، وذلك بالتعاون مع بيت المشورة للاستشارات المالية.

ويضم الماراثون الافتراضي الذي يعد الأول في المنطقة، 3 فئات هي الماراثون الكامل لمسافة (42 كيلومتر) ، والنصف ماراثون لمسافة (21 كيلومتر) ، بالإضافة إلى فئة الـ 5 كيلومترات.

ويهدف ماراثون قطر الافتراضي 2020 إلى تشجيع أفراد المجتمع على ممارسة الرياضة من منازلهم خلال فترة الحجر ، ونشر ثقافة الرياضة من أجل الحياة ورفع الوعي بأهمية الرياضة وتبني أنماط حياة صحية على المستوى العالمي.

وقد تم فتح باب التسجيل للمشاركة في الماراثون ويستمر لغاية 20 أبريل الجاري ، وستكون المشاركة متاحة للجميع ( رجال وسيدات ) من كافة أنحاء العالم.

ويمكن للراغبين في المشاركة التسجيل والتعرف على النتائج عبر تطبيق “”Sporthive live الذي سيمنح المشاركين شهادات إلكترونية بمجرد إنهاء السباق، كما سيتم إعلان نتائج ماراثون قطر الافتراضي 2020 عبر نفس التطبيق يوم الأربعاء المقبل.
