Doha: On Friday, many areas in the country witnessed dense fog, especially on the northeastern coast of the country, and in some areas, the horizontal visibility reached less than 2 km, sometimes at the end of the night.
Qatar Meteorology Department warned of low horizontal visibility in some areas and the spread of fog in the center and west of the country. “The horizontal visibility is low due to the fog,” it said. “Drivers are requested to pay attention and take the necessary safety measures.”
QMD also warned of low horizontal visibility expected in some areas on the coast later, and strong winds are expected with high waves in some areas inshore, at the end of the night.
The weather, until six o’clock in the morning today, Saturday, is expected to be relatively cold, cloudy, misty to foggy in some areas later offshore. Weather inshore will be accompanied by some clouds and sometimes stuck dust.
Wind offshore will be easterly to southeasterly at a speed ranging between 5 and 15 knots. Inshore, the winds will be southeasterly to easterly at a speed ranging between 8 and 18 knots, reaching 23 knots at some areas at the end of the night.
The horizontal visibility ranges between 4 and 8 km, it decreases to 2 km or less in some areas later.
The horizontal visibility ranges between 4 and 8, as QMD published a video explaining some driving instructions during fog, including turning on the regular low lights, not the intermittent quadruple lights, following the correct path through landlines, not bypassing other vehicles suddenly, driving with caution and paying attention to any emergency, using wipers to remove moisture from front and back glass and reduce speed while driving.

الدوحة: شهدت العديد من المناطق في الدولة أمس الجمعة، ضبابا كثيفا، خاصة على الساحل الشمالي الشرقي من البلاد، حيث وصل مدى الرؤية الأفقية لأقل من 2 كم أحياناً على بعض المناطق آخر الليل.
وحذرت هيئة الأرصاد الجوية من رؤية أفقية متدنية في بعض المناطق وانتشار الضباب وسط وغرب البلاد. وقالت: تدني مدى الرؤية الأفقية بسبب الضباب، يرجى من قائدي المركبات الانتباه واتخاذ إجراءات السلامة اللازمة.
كما حذرت إدارة الأرصاد الجوية من رؤية أفقية متدنية متوقعة على بعض المناطق على الساحل لاحقا، ومن رياح قوية متوقعة مع أمواج عالية على بعض المناطق آخر الليل في عرض البحر.
وتوقعت أن يكون الطقس حتى الساعة السادسة من صباح اليوم السبت، باردا نسبيا مع بعض السحب وضبابا خفيفا إلى ضباب على بعض المناطق لاحقا على الساحل.. وتصاحب الطقس في البحر، بعض السحب وغبار عالق أحيانا.
وتكون الرياح على الساحل شرقية إلى جنوبية شرقية بسرعة تتراوح بين 5 و15 عقدة.. وفي البحر تكون الرياح جنوبية شرقية إلى شرقية بسرعة تتراوح بين 8 و18 عقدة، تصل إلى 23 عقدة على بعض المناطق آخر الليل.
ويتراوح مدى الرؤية الأفقية بين 4 و8 كيلومترات، ينخفض إلى كيلومترين أو أقل على بعض المناطق لاحقا.
ونشرت الأرصاد فيديو يوضح بعض إرشادات القيادة في الضباب ومنها: تشغيل الأنوار العادية المنخفضة وليس الأنوار الرباعية المتقطعة، واتباع المسار الصحيح عن طريق الخطوط الأرضية وعدم تجاوز المركبات الأخرى بشكل مفاجئ، والقيادة بحذر والانتباه لأي طارئ، واستخدام المسّاحات لإزالة الرطوبة من الزجاج الأمامي والخلفي، وتخفيف السرعة أثناء القيادة.
