Temporary Partial Closure on Al Furousiya Roundabout for 3 Days
إغلاق جزئي مؤقت لمدة ثلاثة أيام على دوار الفروسية
The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ announces that it will implement a temporary partial closure on Al Furousiya Roundabout (Equestrian R/A), for a period of three days from the evening of Thursday 26 April 2018 until the evening of Sunday 29 April 2018, in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic.
During the closure period, traffic heading from Umm Al Jamajim Street and Al Qalaa Street to Al Furousiya Roundabout can only turn right into Al Furousiya Street, while traffic heading from Al Furousiya Street to the roundabout can continue straight on Al Furousiya Street or turn right, as shown in the attached map.
The closure aims to enable construction works to convert Al Furousiya Roundabout into a signal-controlled intersection, as part of Al Furousiya Street Development Project. The project includes converting Al Furousiya and Muaither Roundabouts into signal-controlled intersections to ease traffic congestion in the area, in addition to increasing the number of lanes of Al Furousiya Street to four lanes in each direction with a service road on both sides of the street, in order to enhance traffic flow and increase the street capacity to accommodate current and future traffic requirements.
The Public Works Authority will install road signs advising motorists of the closure. Ashghal requests all road users to abide by the speed limit, and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.
تعلن هيئة الأشغال العامة “أشغال” أنه سيتم تنفيذ إغلاق جزئي مؤقت على دوار الفروسية، وذلك لمدة ثلاثة أيام من مساء الخميس 26 أبريل 2018 وحتى مساء الأحد 29 أبريل 2018، وذلك بالتنسيق مع الإدارة العامة للمرور.
خلال فترة الإغلاق، يمكن للقادمين من شارع أم الجماجم وشارع القلعة باتجاه دوار الفروسية الانعطاف يميناً فقط إلى شارع الفروسية، أما القادمين من شارع الفروسية باتجاه الدوار فيمكنهم الإكمال على شارع الفروسية أو الانعطاف يميناً فقط، كما هو موضح في الخريطة المرفقة.
يهدف الإغلاق المروري إلى إتاحة المجال لتنفيذ أعمال تحويل دوار الفروسية إلى تقاطع بإشارات ضوئية، ضمن مشروع تطوير شارع الفروسية، الذي يشمل تحويل دواري الفروسية ومعيذر إلى تقاطعات بإشارات مرورية لتخفيف الازدحام المروري، إلى جانب زيادة عدد مسارات شارع الفروسية ليصبح بأربعة مسارات في كل اتجاه مع طريق خدمي على كلا جانبي الطريق، وذلك بهدف تعزيز الانسيابية المرورية وزيادة الطاقة الاستيعابية للشارع لاستيعاب الحركة المرورية الحالية والمستقبلية.
ستقوم هيئة الأشغال العامة بتركيب اللوحات الإرشادية لتنبيه مستخدمي الطريق بهذا التغيير المروري، وتهيب بجميع مستخدمي الطريق الالتزام بحدود السرعة المسموحة واتباع اللوحات الإرشادية حفاظاً على سلامتهم.
